you see how he handles contact at the rim? that should answer your question why he doesn't drive, dude doesn't like contact
I was in the minority that wanted Fox. I remember when the Lakers worked him out. I thought we would trade down to take Fox and grab some assets in the form of players/draft picks. I really wanted that scenario. I'm just glad we didn't get Fultz. Did you see this?
Stop looking at numbers please to justify your view of things. Lonzo scoring 2 points in two games will not work in this league. BI having zero separation on iso's and an inconsistent shot is a major problem. He also doesn't play defense well. If they need more time, ok, I guess that makes sense but if by the end of the year, they aren't advanced from what they are now, I'm sorry, they don't have it. Progression is what we are looking for. If they continue to regress, then they won't be here long. Kuzma has struggled but his seems to be more geared towards adjusting to Lebron and the new offense. I think he will figure it out. He has a good shot and is long. I think the 3 spot is the only legit spot for him also. Especially from a defensive stand point. Hart is a stud. The quentisential baller on title teams. Lakers need to hope Kuzma becomes what we hope he becomes and Hart looks like he is exactly what we need. BI and Lonzo are the 50/50s now.
It’s unfortunate that the NBA has become what it’s become because non-shooters who are sometimes more talented then the shooters are the odd men out. Zo and BI are not shooters. Kuz and Hart are. That’s the reason everyone is higher on those two than on BI and Zo.
I agree but Lonzo could be driving to the hoop more. He has the speed and athleticism. It's baffling to me why he doesn't. I wouldn't say Hart is a knock down shooter but the man goes to the rim and takes the contact. BI tries but is overwhelmed physically. He still needs to get stronger and faster. I think when BI's body matures he will be a load.
jokes aside this guy needs to talk to Gary Payton Sr. The Glove, who struggled until his third year and became an All NBA in his fourth, GP did not have a shot to speak of so he only went for lay ups and post moves, a skill Zo truly needs to improve.
I just read somewhere that he had Labiaitis My understanding is that it is a very painful conditions, and there may be no cure.
I think that’s when you have your anus itching really bad and you have uncontrollable diarrhea (Of the mouth)
BBB (ByeByeBaby)... Not making excuses for him, but being a 21yo, I think alot has to do with this: And before anyone turns my post into a rallying cry for the He-Man Woman Haters Club, it takes 2 to (horizontally) tango.
Plain and simple: he's been disappointing since Rondo went down. i expected him to really explode since he'd have the opportunity, but instead, I've seent Hart and KCP step up in Rondo's absence... Lonzo can't score 2 points in 2 games when Magic has been saying that he needs to be scoring more this year and being more aggressive... If anybody thinks that we wouldn't be just as good or BETTER with D Fox, they're crazy. Fox would be miles better for this team than Lonzo and that is something that we're going to have to accept. 19-7-5-2 on really good splits from FG%, 3pt % and FT line, and the Kings are actually competitive with a completely s*** roster....and he's their best player make no mistake about it. Sure, he wouldn't put up those numbers here...but he also wouldn't be a passive b**** like Big Baller b**** has been. Fox is fiery af...Lonzo isn't...and we got duped by Lavar big time.
ok now let me put my positive hat on... Lonzo is making life easier for LeBron...and we need to get them more sets together. They seem to have good chemistry...so if Lonzo is only scoring 2 but he's getting LeBron easy buckets in the form of an extra 10-12 points a night...then he's worth keeping around. Not to mention...defensively he's been pretty good, if not elite. Still not what you want to see from a 2nd pick...you'd like more than just good passing and elite defense...
lol. Overall, I feel that Lonzo has underperformed...but there's SOME positives out there too which I wanted to point out...but we need MORE from him especially offensively. I think pretty much everyone agrees with that.
Lonzo is an excellent glue guy and role player. He is low usage, excellent in transition, rebounds well, good on D, passes naturally, low on turnovers and a great decision maker. But he is limited because he can’t create shots for himself, or for others, he can’t run a team as a traditional PG, he is a poor shooter, poor ft’s, doesn’t drive enough or finish well and can drift out of a game because he is such a low usage player. He is playing like one of those elite D small forwards or guards right now that have no impact on O. This wouldn’t be as big a problem if he wasn’t touted as a generational talent and taken as a second pick.
Exactly. This is exactly how I feel. He's like a Trevor Ariza...he'll be really good with one or two more star players...but he was selected second overall so we're expecting a star player which he will never be...
