Spurs Continue Their Record-breaking Streak

    I can't help but respect the Spurs. What they're doing is amazing, and really, their steak should be at 18 consecutive seasons. They were 37-13 in the lockout season (98-99), which is equivalent to a 61-win season.

    Wow I remember when they were actually in the lottery with Timmy coming out. Got the number 1 pick and never looked back. I know PJax has the rings, but I really feel Coach Pop is the best coach at least in recent memory. To be able to adapt the game and put his players in the absolute best position to succeed year in and year out speaks volumns to his coaching ability.

    great stuff there, but i still can't help but wonder if this might have happened for a handful of franchises had they been fortunate enough to land duncan.

    I think an argument can be made for Pop vs. Phil. Obviously Phil's record is unapproachable, but the bottomline is that Phil had better players. Duncan is awesome, but MJ, Shaq and Kobe are all better.
