I've quietly been in the LeBron is GOAT camp for three years. I'm sorry, but he's not even close to done and his numbers are already laughably better than most hall of famers. We're watching the best to ever to do while he still has it.

I hope we make a strong play for Kemba Walker if those two don't progress. Mitch, you owe us one!

I can see that scenario playing out as well. If our record puts us in the top 4 of the conference, I can definitely see us making a move. Be interesting to see how this plays out since I don't think they want to mess us cap space for next year.

And since we're unlikely to trade Lebron (Dream scenario tbh), it's going to be tricky.

Stats don't = GOAT in my book.

Now if you say best "all around" I give him some props, but if I had ONE GUY to build a team around to win ONE GAME, he's not the guy that comes to mind first.

P.S. Thanks for keeping that to yourself that last few years.

That's fine, I just think there's a very, very real argument to be made that he's the best basketball player of all time. Pick team titles or whatever stat you need to make your argument; I'm just saying from a "you can't touch THIS guy" standpoint he's incredibly upper echelon.

Undoubtedly one of the best to ever lace them up. I guess I just find some of the glaring holes in the clutch for the majority of his career a non starter to be considered the greatest. The greats all wanted the ball in their hands, and he was more than willing to give it up. Too often.

    Lebron breaking records:

Snapping that Portland 16 game winning streak and now breaking Miami's 7 game home winning streak.

That's fair. I will always defend Kobe, my favorite player ever, using that debate. In one game, I can make a sound argument that's the dude you want over legitimately anyone who has ever played. He's probably not the best choice, but the argument for him can be respected. That's how I'll remember Kobe. Assassin. Best tough shot maker ever. And he wants it more than you.

But, as just a player. Overall skill. Team is typically elite... It's LeBron. I'm sorry, but it's damn near truth.

I don't like that it's true, but by the time Lebron is done, it will be seriously hard to pick Kobe over Lebron's career.

I'm a Kobestan. I'm the guy in a debate who will defend #24 all day, every day. There's nothing aside from rings you can really say in a debate against LeBron. He's locking the reign down unless team success is the ultimate barometer

@sirronstuff No problem, sir! Cap is my favorite Laker of all-time and sometime ago I was curious about the origin of his skyhook and I stumbled upon that in the process. To me, he is the GOAT and that is one of the many reasons why. Like Wilt and Shaq, when a certain player of a certain era triggered changes in his sport, he should be in the discussion, and not just those that people have come across since they were born.:giggle:

Going on topic here, I mean, I love that we have Lebron here and we are winning because of him. The version of him late last year was the Lebron I always wanted to see, and NOT the passive one that opts to pass the ball instead of taking the last shot. Now, mainly because of his age, I don't want him to be that guy that does everything, like this EARLY in the season. As for the Lakers, I think the vets understand him and they just do what they need to do, but I can't say the same for the youngins. Lebron scoring 51 earlier today with 3 assists is a hidden message saying "if I can't trust you guys I'm doing it myself." BI and Zo should understand that among the other things they can contribute like defense and rebounding and stuff, they HAVE to score, too, to keep the defenses honest.

It's not gonna kill us to admit LeBron will have the better career if he keeps at this pace. It won't take away from Kobe 's career or Jordan's, he just will have the throne. If he wins us a title with this statistical performance, there's no more debate.

    Omg who am I?
