That could definitely work too gcclaker. Although personally I like the way Kuz fits with Hart, Lonzo, Lebron and McGee. He scores so much easier than BI who seems have a harder time scoring without the rock. Kuz moves so well off ball and has more versatility with scoring alongside Lonzo and especially Lebron. But Kuz's D kind of sucks and Ingram shores that up a whole lot better. Either way though I agree, move Hart back to starting and let Kuz or Ingram come off the bench. We need more size there and we need Hart's D, energy and long distance shooting.
The Ingram-Kuzma choice is a good problem to have...we're not trotting out journeymen out there anymore. Rethinking your stance, Kuzma could suffer with the second unit with Stephenson's tendency to go one on one but we do have Rondo to keep order. Yes, agree that they will not place Ingram off the bench. Props to Hart's outside shooting which was a question mark coming in. He is our only player so far that can drive to the cup off half court and even better on the open floor.
Hart was magnificent. He had 19 points in 19 minutes. Insanely good player and my current favorite Laker. He needs to start.
Not much else to be said, excellent game tonight. We had already dug ourselves a little hole late in the first and came in and erased it almost immediately with his threes. We couldn’t buy one and he went 3-3 right away.
Did not fall in love with the three ball even though he had it going... Turned down a wide open one late in the game to drive to the cup.
I think I know why Josh Hart is my favorite Laker... he is the only young core player who's game doesn't resemble swiss cheese. Only player that can score, can shoot, can defend, can grab rebounds, good teammate, hard worker. He just doesn't give you a reason to hate him and his game doesn't have HUGE holes like the others. The other guys (Kuzma, Lonzo and Ingram) have (excellent) skills in certain areas but are terrible at other things. It gives you a reason to complain about them every single night.
he's going to make it impossible not to play him big minutes as the season wears on, i think. i feel like kcp's getting moved in december, and that he'll agree to any trade just to try to recoup his value because hart beat him so badly for minutes at the sg spot.
I can see NO jumping all over that but c'mon be serious why do the Lakers do that deal?? No Anon, not serious. Just for you.
Look at Hart's numbers tonight. Not great, right? Yet, I thought he played very well. Setting the defensive tone and playing so, so hard. I love this kid. Don't trade please.
