    ^you are right, although I wouldn't say I love him.

    I think it comes down to Rondo being universally accepted as a terrible shooter. He was never good at any shooting discipline.

    Ingram and Ball both shot better than 40% from college 3, they were both expected to be at the very least average. And both so far have been far below average for their respective position.

    Then why say it was stupid to not trade Ingram for Leonard when you know SA would have asked for far more than just him in every likelihood imaginable?

    There has always been the notion that shooting doesn't translate from college to the NBA when you are a poor FT shooter.

    In a way it seems like good shooters are always good FT shooters. If you are bad from the FT line, you are unlikely to be a good 3 point shooter. There are exceptions but thats a general trend. The exception would be a guy like Bruce Bowen.

    Ya could be trodgers that warned us.

    Yeah. But we might have been able to get a third team involved to make something happen. Ball to Phoenix for Josh Jackson who then goes to the Spurs. I don't know. I'm trying not to get too upset at BI, but I'm worried that an entire season of him awkwardly trying to fit next to Lebron will end up hurting his trade value.

    Yeah. And for all those that wanting him to simply instead of trying to shoot any 3s, when he wound up at 39% last year ..... and instead just keep attacking the basket .... I hold my breath every time he gets hammered in there while in the air with his slight frame. Seems like if that's supposed to be main focus always per those people that he will be injured sooner or later.

    Well Ball has been a good shooter this year from outside. Even in college he struggled with FTs though for some reason. FTs are the only spot where Lonzo has always struggled to shoot. I think it's dumb, but weird since he's hitting 40% right now from 3 and in the high 40% from the field.

    Ingram... I don't know what his deal is right now. He's regressed in a way that I find concerning. He was supposed to break out this year and instead he's been worse than last season. He can't shoot outside, he doesn't facilitate the offense, and he's not drawing enough fouls to justify his driving style of play.

    So you could say that we're struggling cause BI is struggling. He steps into that 2nd best player role unequivocally and we could be going places.

    Meanwhile Beal is the 2nd best player on the Wiz and well, lets just say I'm not a #bealiever. However I do believe that in terms of this discussion, we should #BeaLeaveItAlone.

    Now when it comes to trading BI, I've been mostly Kawhiet on the issue, but there have been a couple options that I've discussed ADnauseam.

    Speaking of which, the thought of BI for Beal...

    #OhItsBeenBroughten...to the toilet bowl.

    Folks, we're after the big fish, not the small ones. Beal is a good player, but we need to keep BI, develop him, then try to move him in a package for AD at season's end when he demands a trade. It might take three of our young guys to do it, and we will be fighting it out with Boston, but no one is moved until AD voices that he wants out.

    I mean if you want more in return in a trade that is fine. But let's call a spade a spade. Beal is an all star. Ingram has played at a player-of-the-week level for 2 months last winter, and he's looked worse this year. Even if he ends up being traded for an MVP candidate like Kawhi, he's still gonna have to elevate his play and fulfill some of his potential, quickly. If he gets traded now, we'd have no upper hand in any talks as the league knows we're desperate.

    Plain and simple...he's been average. He hasn't been good, but he hasn't been terrible...but due to expectations of him breaking out...he has been terrible...but he's also just average...does that make sense?

    I'm as dissappoointed in Ingram's play so far as anybody, maybe even more since I expected him to be the clear No. 2 on this team. However, he's known for starting slow and getting into a better groove over the course of the season. It also doesn't help that - as has been brought up many times - he just doesn't seem to fit as good alongside Bron as the rest of the pack and may need more time to adjust his game. I'm still a believer, he should do a lot better as the season progresses. Too early to write him off IMO.

    I'm a huge Ingram fan but he's making a case for himself to get traded mid-season right now...but I would HATE to give him up for BEAL when we could have gotten Kawhi for him...
