Totally outplayed Jordan last night. What a transformation he has made in his game since he saw the writing on the wall a few years ago and realized he needed to drop some weight and concentrate on being a more mobile and skillful center and rim protector.
Lebron was great, but Javale was the MVP of that game last night and outside of Lebron he's been the MVP of this team so far this year. The biggest difference maker in the area we need the most help in Oh and this was just fabulous:
That's awesome. Figured he had to be up there. Thinking back over the years it's hard to recall a center exerting that much effort every night to protect the rim plus he has great timing. The real Paint God. On second thought he's probably just playing for his next contract on this small one year deal. Never mind.
Unfortunately, this has more to do with our poor perimeter defense than anything else. Nonetheless, McGee has been on of the unexpected bright spots this season. I'm really glad to see him thriving.
I think Javale deserves credit for it as well. Yes the perimeter defense has been bad, but it takes Javale still is a willing and capable rim defender.
We have to find new ways to sing praise to the one and only JaVale McGee. Incredible game in Portland for the NBA's numero uno shot blocker.
The fact that McGee signed for the vet min and putting up numbers like he is proves he is vastly underpaid for his performance this season. If he continues like this for the rest of the season I sincerely hope we pay the man and retain him next season. He’s proven he’s more than worth it.
This guy rules. He always seems to be crouched in the right position to be found by LeBron, or Zo, or whoever else. Also the 6 blocks wow, block party tonight. I really hope adding Chandler preserves McGee to be fresh to finish games and healthy all year.
Offer him the max extension possible for a minimum deal (two years). Even if we bring in Davis, McGee has proven to be wildly valuable.
SwagGee, I had real low expectations for you when we first signed you, but bruh, you a real one! Big ups..get em on the next one.
Nice start to the season, but he won’t sustain it. At his age, you are who you are. He’ll be who he’s been his whole career. He’s an average center, but with Chandler, we’ll have a solid veteran platoon. Can’t complain about that for what we’re paying.
