He should of went for the easy two there, I think he wanted to pass out for a three however. Bad decision making for a historically good decision maker.

That play looked like a “shave point” play. That was utter idiocy from Rondo, which you don’t see. Doesn’t add up.

Yeah Rondo f***ed up that one, but him doing something like that is so rare I can’t be too mad. Everybody makes mistakes, and I doubt he does that one again with 3 seconds left

The team is putting lipstick on it, but it was a dumb play. It probably didn't cost the us the game--six minutes of putrid offense did that--but man, that was bad.

Practicing on that prior to actual gambling being opened everywhere for the league so it will look completely natural. Can't be accused now and yes, he needs a lot of work in that regard. Though guess he could be accused for the Las Vegas folks.

    :p

I agree he was wrong, but I also see his point of checking the clock, no timeouts left and he wanted to see if the Spurs player collapsed and then he could kick it out for a 3. It didn't work and was the wrong play but I can understand his line of thinking.

We certainly didn't lose the game on that posession. IMO we lost the game with how terribly we closed that 3rd quarter. After being up by 12+ points mid way through they went on a 10-0 run and basically took the game from there. Our offense stalled and Demar wouldn't miss down the stretch. If only he played that well in the postseason.

as much as rondo is helping, he's is an assist hunter/stat padder, its in his nature thats why he tried to pass it out instead of taking that easy 2

No it's not. He brain farted and forgot the time left to score the 2 and then play the foul game. Just talking about that play that's silly. OR .... what BT said above you.

I was taking issue with you blaming that last play on that nature good or bad, and said so specifically.

its not a "brain fart," its 2nd nature to him to look for the pass regardless of the type of shot he passes up, he's already done that a few times, passing up on a layup for someone else to hit a jump shot

Look he's noted for being a cerebral player and that would not be classified as a cerebral play. It looked much more like a brain fart since he started to put it up and then appeared like he remembered they were down 3. Or what BT said about thinking he had someone for the 3 to tie it immediately.

I RageOn for Rajon...he's been the guy I wanted since Boston was rumored to trade him.

That being said, that final play was a WTF moment and his explanation didn't really help. He scores, we're down 1 with roughly 10+ seconds left in the game and even if we have no timeouts remaining, we can play the free throw game and see how it plays out. So no excuses Do...bruh you messed up.

That being said, that play alone isn't what cost us the game...not even close. 'Do was the only Laker player to be a net positive for that game playing just under 30 minutes (SwaGee and Lance were a net wash of 0, while every other Laker was a negative). Blaming 'Do for the loss is like blaming Bron for those 2 missed FTs that cost us the game, when dude got us into OT to begin with the 1st time we played them dudes.

There are bigger problems on this team than how we're closing games offensively...and I'm looking at 110 points given up to a team that is 2nd worst in PACE.

No one is talking about his 3 point shooting

    6-13, 46.2%

Doesn't take a lot but picks his spots well.

I'm still high on Rondo. He was a great pickup for us. Yes, he had a brain fart on that last play the other night, but it happens.
