He kinda fumbled a bit when asked if he was glad it worked out he was still in L.A. Of course he is from everything else he said.
Initially I was a bit upset bringing him back at 12M .. I've cooled on that since...he is a solid starting SG for us and he will play both sides of the ball. He's also pretty young still so maybe he can still improve? Especially playing another year with these guys plus LeBron?
I am glad we got him back. I thought he was decent in his role. I can’t negatively judge him when he wa playing on a young inexperienced team with childish leadership. I always think these kind of guys play better when they play on a good team and our team now has vets that will force everyone to step up. Think about how competitive practice will be going up against our current crop. Zo will get exposed so he better come prepared.
the start 2g spot to go to hart by next yr if hart continues to grow imo, use the $ on a legit stretch 5 next yr n give svi all the minutes at backup sg/sf
Did we all forget about this guy? Sounded a lot more confident in media day interviews. Might have been because he wasn't the biggest FA signing like he was last year.
He did sound more relaxed. It helps having a year under your belt with the coaches and the majority of the players. I also agree with you it helps not having a target on your back and he's also in the best shape of his life having changed his diet considerably. I hope I'm right but I think we'll be pleasantly surprised by how well he does this year.
I think we'll see a more efficient KCP offensively, think last season he had a huge green light to score and that's just not his game. Think we'll see him shine defensively especially with Javale out there to cover his back. KCP and Ball flying around everywhere will cause a lot of deflections.
Once he got out of house arrest or whatever that was last year he played pretty well. Too much gambling on D? Yes. Streaky as all get out on offense? Yes. But he's a solid starter and I think his game will pick up greatly playing with Lebron and Rondo. It better if he wants another paycheck. I don't think we'll resign him again after this but I can see him playing more up to his potential this season.
I think he'll be indispensable as the season progresses, going in and out of jail has screwed his play early last season
