How did this thread devolve into Spurs talk?

Not really but like I wrote: I'm a Lakers fan first and foremost. If LBJ helps the Lakers win another championship that's all I care about. Remember, Kobe is an adulterer but I still rooted for the guy. I can look past the flaws and focus on what that person brings to the table. LBJ is the best player in the NBA. The Lakers product this season is going to look vastly different and for that my dislike has waned because I cheer for the Lakers.

Must not been around when the Spurs purposely tanked to get Tim Duncan. It was so blatant and disgusting... you did write that you've been a fan since 2013, right?

What is the big deal about a pro athlete being an adulterer?

Oh, I don't know...maybe it has something to do with killing teams and potential title contenders. You could get locked up and have your contract voided if that adultery becomes an accusation...or you could implicate your teammates during a deposition and that can cause team infighting which attributes to prematurely blowing up a dynasty. Or even worse...catch a fatal disease and prematurely end your legendary career and in the process lose out on potential titles that may have been.

But lets hit on something a little more closer to home for you....you said you started following the Spurs in 2013. Let's say a key player did something in 2010 that would have got him traded and then led to another nontrade which could have affected the Spurs' 2013 & 2014 Finals appearances and their 2014 title.

So in a way, adultery could have cost you being a Spurs fan....kind of a big deal for yourself, don't you think?

    Douche:

“Look at me! I’m so great! I’m wearing a shirt about me and my self proclaimed King theme, and wearing my number. #strivefordouchiness “

He’s obviously in China. Some things don’t translate well, so they still think he’s cool.

    :Kobepuking:

Sorry, he makes me puke. I probably just need to leave the board til he’s gone so I don’t bring the level of fan happiness down. I won’t ever like him. Ever.

I’ve got some other stuff going on in life too. I’ve got a daughter dying who is 22 years old from some uncurable chronic illness stuff.

We probably got an extra bonus 3 years from medical advancements we shouldn’t have had, but it’s horrible to go through. I’m sure that has affected my mood.

I’d really like to enjoy watching the Lakers as a welcome distraction, and I’m pretty sure that’s not going to happen this year.

Remember, I dislike captain douche enough to own www.ihatelebron.com

Signing with my favorite team doesn’t lessen the hate. Just makes me want to express it less so my friends can enjoy the pending team success without Debbie downer running loose. If someone bought me a Lebron Jersey, I’d literally throw it in the trash. I might give it to a homeless guy. Or... I might use it for toilet paper. It would be worthless to me, and I definitely wouldn’t wear it.

I want to see our young team develop, but I’d like Lavar to go away, and I’d like to trade Bron to Toronto for Kawhi and change.

I love our troll wars with each other, but its out of respect bro.

Nothing is more important in this world than your loved ones. Thanks for sharing and I'll personally be mindful of this going forward. Stay strong for her buddy (if its autoimmune, you have no idea how much mood/love plays a part in it) and I'm hoping for the best.

I’m appreciative of your humor bro. Your pretend bromance with Bron to troll us all has been legendary too.

You mentioned that I should dislike LBJ because of his lack of character when Kobe demonstrates a lack of character as a serial adulterer... basically, I don’t care because I cheer for the Lakers first and foremost. That was my point.

Again, I still don’t like him either, I’ve just accepted it is all. We had a full year of LeBron to LA rumblings and speculation to prepare for it, so that kind of got me in the mindset that it could become a reality. My mentality is that I will always root for the front of the jersey first, even if it’s difficult, and nobody made it more difficult for me than Dwight Howard (and Karl Malone before him), so this isn’t as bad compared to that. I think a lot of Kobe haters couldn’t have accepted him coming to their teams either, so I completely get that part. It is what it is at this point, I can’t stop watching games, and I will no question enjoy winning again.

Pretty sure a team fixer just sweeps it under the table like baby mamas. I trust the Spurs players to cheat ijn a way taht works out for the team. You can catch diseases while single easily.

Adultery is common? How he left CLE was not done by almost any public figure i can think off.
