I was at that game and saw that play. In fact, sitting halfway up at mid court in the background of this play. That play was a thing of beauty. Unfortunately for Ice his team sucked.

Johnson pulling his hand away not too foul...Abdul-Jabbar looking mesmerized. I think that was the game after Riley did not place Gervin on the West starting line-up whereupon he torched the Lakers as a reminder.

@Jaguar Gervin's squads did not really suck having cats like Gilmore, Mitchell, Robertson... It was just those Showtime Laker teams were a cut or two above everyone else in the West.

On topic: Ingram did say he modeled his game after Gervin only he's a better passer and can facilitate. Can't touch Ice in scoring though.

Giannis - who has the same wingspan as Ingram btw - is looking hella swole here:

For reference, here's how he was in his rookie year:

Well... everyone is built differently on a genetic level.

Also he's probably got a good pump going in that pic... I'm just going to hope for Iceman. :D

Brandon Ingram is not going to be a huge dude more likely than not and he doesn't need to be. It is a misconception that guys "have to" get big. Brandon's game will play anywhere. The guy is smooth. Yes, I think he needs to add strength but not necessarily size like Giannis is in the pic shared a few post ago. The kid has superstar potential in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not expecting Ingram to be Giannis. Just posted it since given how we were talking about gaining weight, it seemed relevant.

I myself said earlier Ingram will probably top off around 220. Giannis in that pic, does NOT look like 220... lol

That's true, although all of these guys have access anyway. But that pump is pretty impressive, I have to admit.

Our guys, or BI and Zo at least are really young. In most you don't really hit your ability to put on max muscle until almost your mid-20's and Brandon's really just hit the age where many it's safe to begin real muscle building. Giannis is 3 years ahead of BI besides being a different body type.

Look at Kareem, he was 7'2" 225lbs still was strong, and that long-sinewy muscle served him well, playing as many seasons as he did. Not many 7ft and up have had careers like that. Less strain on your bones without too much weight you don't need. BI can get up and knock the ball out of people's hands even in the post and can finish at the rim around bigs using creative angles and from amazingly far away already with that crazy reach and step. He gets around bigs.

He's never gonna be a box-out guy or banger. He'll follow the path that KD's body did most probably and will get to 215 in a few more years. It will help when he posts people up, goes one on one, defends wings-forwards, needs to get out of screens. Goes in the post, hell with most things. He has quick feet, moves well off the ball, bigs can't guard him and wings are a mismatch already. Weight and strength will come, he needs to pay attention to what he can improve now, making shots off the dribble, fast release before people knock him off his spots. He's gonna get better at getting calls. The size thing, he's already a problem for wings and guards and then there is the speed vs forwards. I don't worry about BI's muscles.

We don't see his muscles like that. No one does, not even Ingram. :Ingram Heart Hands:

Comments like this makes me believe you haven’t watched Ingram in his entirety

This right here is Ingram fighting over a screen in which he was actually late to, but because of his length he is able to make up for his miscue. And this was his rookie year. Just watch...

Although the pass was easy and anyone could have really done it, the transition play as a whole was a good one plus we actually get to see the one highlight Deng made since he’s been here. :giggle:
