This is a strange position to take.

Put BI in the watered down East and he probably averages close to 20 ppg. We’re a team that is now devoid of front court depth. So now we’re supposed to compound the issue by trading a versatile wing for a two guard who isn’t even the best player on his 43-39, 8th seed in the East team?

You realize your argument started with "he probably averages close to 20 ppg" and not with any actual facts right?

Why are you still arguing this, real, you said you were done days ago. People love Ingram

Personally, I wouldn’t trade him for Beal, because I like his trajectory better. [IMG] I also wouldn’t throw in Hart, because he’s an Ariza-level role player at about 1/9 the cost. (I failed math, but 1.6 mil compared to 15)

I just hate the "psssssh" attitude as if Beal is some loser. :D

But you're right. None of my business.

I mean, the Wizards did lose to the Raptors in the first round. But yes, he did put up some great numbers in the series, 28 and 31 in their 2 wins, and 32 in their final game, game 6. He’s not what I’d think of when I think “winner”, so for now I would definitely stick with Ingram for one more year. We could always revisit a trade when the Wizards are bounced again by Toronto, Boston, or Philly, and if we strike out in 2019 free agency. I highly doubt Ingram’s value lowers.

I know exactly what I meant. The premise was on his potential, and the watered down East, which is a fact. But carry on with your ship BI’s a** out for anybody crusade, but I intend to go the other direction on this one. No biggie though. Difference of opinion that’s all.

I love Ingram so I don't want to devise a huge argument to trade him. But I do know where @therealdeal is coming from. I'll leave it at this: I think Beal is pretty good. Only SGs I would take over him are Harden and Klay.

Not sure if I'd take that exact package (I'd want more in return). But Beal as the center piece? I'm interested, sure. We'll just agree to disagree if you can't entertain that.

yeah, if we're going to denigrate beal by calling him the second-best player on a first round exit team, what do you think non-lakers fans could say about ingram?

Great point. Let’s hope the Wiz wants no parts of a trade for him.

I've been really up front that's not what I'm doing, but I'm sure you know that. Abeer covered it well enough.

I agree. There's no urgency for that move since LeBron is already signed. I hope to hell that Ingram comes through though. If he stumbles next to LeBron, the vibe in his thread is going to turn real quick!

Laker mouth piece,Trudell, had this very interesting nugget in his recent LABron writeup:

Seems like the Lakers are very content in standing pat till next summer. And if there is to be a Kawhi trade, they're probably not trading BI....cause that list isn't in alphabetical order and isn't in the order in how they became Lakers....so it sure looks suspiciously like the priority in which they hold their players at the moment.

    What about Bonga though!?

No I'm with you. All indications are the Lakers will wait. Im fine with that. One year to prove it. Anyone who doesn't cut it, gets packaged out next summer.

With all the Ingram trade talk so far this summer (by far the #1 guy mentioned other than in Deng-pipe-dream scenarios) it's hard to tell where the guy's head is at. I just hope he put his head down, blocks all the talk out and trains. He is potentially a guy you would never trade. I'm fine seeing what happens in year #3 as far as development.
