Beal is very good, but no I don’t trade Ingram AND Hart for him. The only thing that even makes it semi-believable is the Deng part, because that does feel like something it would take to get rid of that anchor.

I haven’t watched him play much, but they did play pretty well with him leading the way and John Wall out.

It’s hard to get super excited about the win now approach when you also want to see our amazing draft picks develop. I don’t want to wipe out our future sustainability for just a couple of years, so I don’t want to give up too much.

I’m torn. Our roster may look very different come opening day.

I know Hart is your guy, but with Stephenson and Svi around, our bench guard rotation is suddenly crowded. If Hart helps us move Deng, I'm all for it. Beal is a career 39% shooter and averaged 22/4/4 last year. The guy is really good.

The Hart part isn’t what has me at a no. It wasn’t Ingram. I think Ingram can be better than Beal in not too long. Hart is not untouchable, but that’s a package I offer for Kawhi, not for Beal.

Pretty much how I feel, if I have a hard time giving up Ingram for Kawhi, no way I’d do it for Beal. I do like Beal I’m just really high on Ingram.

Very tough decisions for the FO to make this summer.

That’s my problem. Why would we offer a healthy Kawhi level package for a B list superstar?

Beal is talented no doubt who is overshadowed by Wall BUT a do-it-all wing like Ingram who can be invaluable plus a solid, well rounded player in Hart? Much respect...methinks it's one sided. Beal to me is McCollum East.

And I'd do that trade for McCollum too. I think there's some serious overvaluing going on here. I love Ingram and yes he might be better than those guys, but when? And what's the probability he gets there?

Beal and McCollum are young studs right now. Beal was an All-Star last season at 24 years old. Writing this trade off so easily is crazy to me. The Wizards are the ones who say no, not us.

And for the record, this is far different from Kawhi. Kawhi is an expiring deal coming off a major injury. Beal is locked up long-term and played all 82 games last year.

Brandon is 20 years old and Hart is 23. I stick with these two.

Which shouldn't surprise anyone I feel this way too because if I wouldn't give these two up for Kawhi I definitely wouldn't do it for Beal.

Hart is my dude too... I have a habit of not reading posts above so in hindsight I thought of this. Stephenson is a one year rental (?) at best. Svi could be our first guard off the pine. Kuzma can take over for Ingram. The way our scouting department keeps turning up gems we could be covered...

What we lose with Hart is solid defense, rebounding for someone of his size and heady play on the floor. I don't think I'm overvaluing our players but see it as getting rid of two multi-dimensional players that contribute and likely do more this year. I just like our depth. It can only help when we hit that spate of injuries which we seem to go through every season.

Beal posts good numbers because he is one of the focal points of that offense more so if Wall does his disappearing acts.

...oh and I have to add that sentencing Ingram along with Hart to play with Howard should be classified as cruel and unusual punishment. :)

    Fun debate...

I think I would do that trade. It's a lot to give up but we'd be getting the best player in the deal and ever-precious cap space. We have LeBron, and if Magic says its a 2 year plan, then I believe more things are going down in 2019.

With all that said, it would be very very tough to part with BI. And I like Hart, but PG depth is very high in the league right now.

Ingram has a chance to be really special. Beal is a nice shooting guard, but doesn't move the needle in that position. I'm willing to move Ball (who I actually really like) for a second tier player like a Kemba Walker. But Ingram has the chance to be truly special.

Beal is just a bigger version of Kemba Walker, except 4 years younger and locked in for a long time while Kemba is expiring. If Beal doesn't move the needle, how the hell does Kemba Walker move the needle?

I said I'd be willing to move Ball for a second tier star. Not Ingram. I'm not moving Ingram for Kemba. I was just using Kemba as an example of a second tier star like Beal.

Again the difference is Beal is locked in long-term.

Also, I'm not sure when it happened but Ingram is being overvalued and Lonzo undervalued. If we're not going to trade Ingram, we have less reason to trade Lonzo. Lonzo is the perfect fit for LeBron, Ingram might be a good fit. Beal would be an excellent fit.

I'm kinda with the peeps saying we should trade Ingram now for Kawhi. I would do it but only if it's Ingram, Deng and 2019 1st. Nothing more than that. It's about as fair of a deal for both sides as we will find. We're not going to give up our entire young core for Kawhi...that ain't happening. But I think giving up our best player while dumping Deng would be a fair return for arguably a top 3 player (and his price would be higher if we didn't already have the leverage too)
