Besides calling LeBron to LA, how have Vegas odds been historically?

That's 100% Grade A paranoia right there. And if fans feel it, it's a good bet the FO does too. What happens next can determine RC's future and you can be damn certain it effects Pop's decision to stay on.

"Survived a $40 million dollar bullet". Wow. Sounds much like the horsesh!t that Gilbert spouts whenever LBJ leaves him. "Fine, we're better off anyways" "Don't let the door hit you in the a$$" etc etc - I always thought of SAS as an organization as fairly classy but can't say the same for the fans. When we lose stars here we're genuinely bummed out (Dwight Howard exempted of course).

They're almost bullet proof, but you have to watch the lines. Vegas exists because these lines are set at the right places. Vegas rarely loses big gobs of money on bets like this.

The line started with the Lakers in second place, although everyone was close. Then went from a decent + bet, to -1000. That means it takes a thousand dollar bet to make a hundred dollars. It's possible that it's a sucker bet designed to get people to bite right away while the Lakers were hot, but it could also be a sign they got information something was happening.

My only point was that if there's someone out there claiming to have insider info that lines up with this bookie, it could be a backup of the same source.

Possibly, but -1000 is a wildly confident line.

If they haven't leaked out then they're probably close to the same.

That bet by the way is just where will Kawhi play before the season starts, so there's a lot of time left. There's a chance the Spurs continue to drag this out.

The addition of Rondo and Stephenson give us some flexibility though in case we decide we need to pull the trigger on Kawhi.

He's extremely reliable. He's often on trade calls to help teams with CBA rules.

Did some digging on that guy.

He actually claims it's Kawhi to the Clippers. He is one of the guys who says Kawhi won't re-sign with a team with LeBron on it.

Weird. There's another post in there that has to do with Kawhi's agency being a wreck and the main cause of all this. They're claiming that the agency is desperate and thus needs a bigger market. That's why there's wiggle room in the media about LA preferably the Lakers, but maybe the Clippers. There's a post in there about how Shams is connected to Kawhi's camp.

Maybe there's a little truth to some people in Kawhi's camp not wanting to team with LeBron? Maybe there's people in Kawhi's camp who feel he'd miss out on opportunities off the court if teamed with LeBron?

The thing is, the Clippers have nothing to offer. Tobias Harris would be their headliner in any deal... Whoopty doo.

I don't buy there's a move planned for tomorrow with Kawhi to the Clippers unless there's some asset the Clippers have that I don't know about. Ingram for Kawhi straight up would be a better trade than anything the Clippers have.

A little extra digging and it sounds like even Spurs fans agree with us: Woj is the Spurs' mouthpiece, Shams might now be Kawhi's camp's mouthpiece. Jabari Young has been connected to Kawhi's camp for a while now.

Shams might be reporting his opinion on Kawhi not wanting to be with LeBron or he may have gotten that impression from Kawhi's uncle.

I do think it's significant that the Sixers were trying to sign LeBron and suddenly Kawhi might be willing to sign long-term there.

Spurs fans seem to think the end game for Kawhi is not the Lakers, it's just out of SA and into a bigger market.

If Woj is the Spurs' mouthpiece, then why is he so adamant that Kawhi only wants to come here? Man... all these leverage plays are confusing.

Thanks for looking into this. I'm inclined to believe Larry Coon, since he actually talks to these GMs on a daily basis. The Spurs are just asking for too much. But we're not in a rush. Let's see what they're asking for come August when Leonard refuses to report to training camp.

Because they (Spurs... Woj too) want to screw us. Give up young studs for Kawhi and then watch him leave.

So, should we just not make a move for Kawhi at all? Does it seem like he really doesn't want to come here because of LeBron?

Me and Bron thinks the same way, I never see any SA player doing good for any team or even maintain their performance outside the Spurs system

I wouldn’t call our fan base classy. Look at the PG decision!

Speak for yourself. I''ll wait to cast any bad taste on our own until I see it. So far saying "Pauline" bugs you?. Think on inbred Utah casting horrid buck-toothed, foul, dispersions on Derek Fisher for transferring to a nearer cancer hospital for his daughter. We haven't done a damn thing to PG so lighten up a little bit matey.
