I understand the move but c'mon. I can't freakin' stand Jiminy Cricket! I remember that shot he took at Kobe while Kobe was trying to get the ball. And then, Rondo needed the fake tough guys to come bail him out. I FREAKIN' HATE HIM!!!

Kobe doesn’t feel the same way, they’re friends because they’re both a-holes.

I don’t like him either, but I have respected his game for years. Dude can impact a game so much and he can’t even shoot. He has killed us for years and years, and now I’m glad the opponent will be on the other side of that. When he abused IT last year just for the fun of it, that was awful, and I look forward to him doing it to other teams now.

All these deals we have made are for 1 year only and im great with that but with the Randle situation i don't blame Magic/Pelinka or even Randle but the spineless trashbag Aaron Mintz. He's on David Stern levels of awfulness.

I hate Rondo but I can root for him next year in purple and gold. I rooted for Karl Malone. I rooted for Matt Barnes. I can root for Rondo. I definitely respect him as a hardcore competitor and smart ball player. He's a monster rebounder for a guard as well. Another good guard for Lonzo to learn from and model aspects of his game on.

Kobe likes all the guys that come at him, Rondo, Raja, Barnes.

As for lebron, he's no longer going to be a Point Foward, He's going to be a Shooting Guard Forward.

Just to note, I was very high on Rondo and was hoping maybe, just maybe Rob would pick him up. Excellent signing, especially because it weakens the Pelicans.

    I've given this some thought.

Maybe Lance and Rondo were brought in to light a fire under the youngins. Our kids are talented, but maybe too nice. These vets can teach them how to respond and maybe even initiate some nastiness.

I'll give Magic the room he needs to operate.

All 1 year deals. Thumbs up from me.

Randle....didn't most people have resigned themselves to not being able to keep him anyways with our long term goal of grabbing that second superstar?

I'm sure someone already said this...but Bron-Stevenson and Rondo-IT on the same gawd damn team would make for some enjoyable timeouts...no?

Also 9M is pretty much the non-tax MLE amount (8.8m)....which has got me intrigued, since Stevenson got 4.5M which is the room exception (4.4m) and we can't use both at the same time...so what gives? Are we operating as a under the cap team or an over the cap team? Hmm...

I like the move. It pushes Ball, gives us a competent floor leader, battle-test, had a good season last year; and it's a 1 year-deal.

Yeah, he's nuts, but I'll take him to battle with me everyday.

    Good pick-up.

    This.

I mean do people (other than @sirronstuff )want Lebron to get hurt and shut down after 1 year of a 4 year deal.

Ingram, Ball and any other quite guy we have on this team is going to be forced to be vocal by the time Rondo get threw with them.

Great mentor especially for lonzo, more than anyone. I can see Rondo loving how Lonzo pushes the ball and keeps it moving

    :D

The Lakers signed LeBron James. None of that other crap matters in comparison. Boogie chose the Warriors. Randle wanted out. It has nothing to do with the FO decisions, they can't make players sign here if they don't want to be here (Randle) or see better opportunity for similar money (Warriors).

This is not on the Lakers, we had the money for Cousins and he made the Durant b**** level move to join the Warriors. We had the money for Randle but his agent wanted a 2 year deal over 1 to go to a most likely worse team than ours.
