So you're saying his epic three part "Journey" was originally about coming to L.A. LOL. Then he had to re-shoot the ending?

Only Lakers fans could be this mad a day after signing LeBron. This is gonna be fun, win-now mode, irritants and a-holes all over our roster. Hell, maybe LeBron will take back his verbal commitment and sign with the Sixers now with this awful roster we’ve put together. ;)

Interesting points from Kobe's interview with Stephen A:

    • Kobe on LeBron having the type of skin and character to handle playing in LA: 'They've thrown everything at this kid since [high school]." Says he told LeBron he's here for him and his family and whatever they need in LA

    • "I been a Laker fan since I was 3. I bleed purple and gold. So I'm really happy the direction we're going. I'm genuinely a Laker fan. People don't understand that. I was a Laker fan growing up. So I honestly want to see them do good. These past years have been really, really tough. And as people man, we have to help our brothers do well. And push forward."

    • On taking Lakers torch from Magic and passing it to LeBron: "I had a great run... we are fortunate enough to win five championships. Now it's somebody else’s time... it is our responsibility to pay that forward. Anything I can do whatsoever to help LeBron bring a championship back to the city of LA I am all for it."

    • "I always told you. It takes a certain person to put on that Laker Jersey. For other players around the league now, I think it puts the Lakers front and center once again."

    • On LeBron with Lakers core: "They have a lot of offensive versatility. The true test comes on the defensive end. That is where LeBron is really, really great at, talking and his energy... that is where I look for changes and if they do that, who knows"

    • "For us to have a player like LBJ. It creates so much new energy here. Now players like Kyle/Zo/Josh Hart have that pressure & that player to push them forward as players sooner than later."

    • On speaking to Lebron about the decision: "I spoke to him during the playoffs, then I spoke to him last night after everything. We connected with each other & I just told him welcome to the family...it sounds crazy but I said 'Dude, you're a part of the family now, so anything you need on my end I got you & you know whatever the case may be I'm here for you man.' I was just wishing him and his family the best and I look forward to seeing him when he gets in."

    • On Rob Pelinka and what's next: "'I have known Rob forever. He has [prepared Plan A-Z.] He will read the lay of the land and see what opportunities present themselves. There will be nothing that surprises him... I know how brilliant he is."

    • On Magic: 'They might have to get this dude another statue [for all he has done]. What Magic is pulling off is absolutely incredible. The legacy he has for this franchise and what he's doing [now], it's ridiculous.'

    • "[James] has a core group of players around him now that is extremely good, versatile and they are hungry in terms of gym rats... LeBron accelerates the learning curve for these young guys... this is really going to help Lonzo, Kyle's growth.'

    • "And that's what the Lakers have always been about. Anything that I can do whatsoever to help Bron bring back a Chip to Los Angeles, I'm all for it man."

    No mention if Ingram. Interesting....

I love how Kobe is embracing Lebron coming here. It's Lakers first all day everyday. It's all about us winning more chips, bottom line. So cool to hear all this from Kobe!!! We're back! :Noddingyes:

He won't beat Kareem. I bet he passes Kobe though.

Kareem’s record is very much in play. LeBron wants to play at least until his son joins the league. And he’s still playing “best player in the game” level ball. No reason to presume he can’t get there. Just be happy he’ll be a Laker when it comes.

He won't be able to keep up this level of scoring output at that age. I haven't seen a willingness from him to move more of his action to the post yet. It's fairly optimistic, but father time is undefeated. Kareem only managed it because he had Magic and Worthy to handle the perimeter, and he also possessed the most unstoppable move in the history of the game.
