Lonzo and Lebron are going to feed this guy lobs all game. We haven't had a rim protector like Javal in a long time.

Right? He’s the perfect spot minutes center. If he plays like he did in GSW, he’s going to be fine. Dude was so underrated there. If you go back and watch some of the playoff games from his time there, he provided a huge boost. Defense, blocking shots, ALWAYS needs to be accounted for offensively because of the lob threat. It’s solid for 15-20 minutes per game.

Yes people wanted Lopez back, but if LBJ/Kuz/Randle gonna be playing the 4 and Randle gets all the small ball 5 minutes, he ain’t going to be coming back for the minimum to play small minutes when he can still contribute.

Now if Randle doesn’t come back, I can see it. But as of right now the Randle/Mcgee 5 spot is in the GSW mold.

This move makes a better. Our big focus is getting a backup PG and another wing that can shoot.

If Patty Mills comes in a Kawhi trade I’d be ecstatic. We have our two stars and can sign our young kids in the future. That’s how you build a roster. We are still in the middle phase of creating this roster. Let it play out.

Where's John 3:16? I'd imagine San Antonio has warning systems in place with modern technology same as OKC. What do you get ... couple minutes to run for a shelter? Plenty of time.

Exactly. Mcgee is great in spurts but not a starter over 82 games. I don't believe we're done going after players. Brook for the vet min would be gravy

I think McGee starts but plays 15-20 mins a game. Pretty much the same role he had in GSW.

Actually Javale only started in 17 games for them and only played in 65 games. He averaged just 9.5 minutes here.

I'd be surprised if his role is much different with LA.

As currently constructed, I like McGee starting.

    Ball, KCP, Kuz, Lebron, McGee

Good combination of offense and defense right out of the gate. Maybe McGee leans more towards 10-15 mpg.

Ingram definitely would start over Pope if we didn't make any other moves.

I don't disagree that McGee makes sense as the big body starter, I'm just saying we shouldn't expect a lot out of him. If he gives us the Pachulia role, I'm fine with that.

If we don't sign a point guard, I like Ingram's point forward skills off the bench.

    Hart, Lance, Ingram, Lebron/Kuz, Randle?

But yes, Pachulia's role was the one I was thinking about.

The talent differential between Ingram and Pope will be just too much to not start Ingram. Ingram, next to LeBron and Ball, is going to be a stud. There'll be times next season when people think we don't need Kawhi and I mean that honestly. I'm not saying they'll say that consistently all year, but at some point next year that'll be something we say as fans.

I think the lineup right now is:
Lonzo/Stephenson (I believe people who are saying he's being brought in for this role)
    Ingram/Caldwell-Pope
    LeBron/Hart
    Kuzma/Wagner
    McGee/Zubac

I think if Randle is brought back, either he or Kuzma comes off the bench. The key is though, we're one deep team. We could do with another couple bigs, maybe even convince Brook to stick around in a depressed market.

I'm conflicted. I agree 100% on the talent level comment re: BI. But, I'm wondering whether BI will be more effective leading the charge off the bench or playing next to LeBron as a starter. Either way, I want BI playing starter minutes.

The easy answer for that to me is just to play BI with the bench if we have to. Say you take Ingram out at the 6 minute mark, then let him lead the bench to start the 2nd quarter.

It's gonna be fun watching how different players mesh along side Bron. Zo and Kuz are obviously going to fit seamlessly. BI to me is the biggest potential fit question mark because he needs the ball in his hands the most of our young guys.

Hey, that would be a good topic for your next article. How each guy on the roster fits with LeBron's game.

If McGee was a contestant on “Are you smarter then a 5th grader”, they would have to dumb down the questions to kindergarten level. Things like colors and numbers but he can catch a lob and play some defense in small minutes. Plus he’s a minimum contract and he’s not DJ. I’ll take it and hope for the best.
