I doubt buy all this for a minute. I think the meeting last night was surely helpful, but I don't think LeBron was questioning this move up until midnight on FA Eve.

It’s pretty much a...”we’ll take you back...please...come back...”

I only buy that LeBron had pretty much decided on the Lakers, but was willing to hear a few teams out, or that a botched Laker pitch possibly could have swayed him. But sitting and talking to Magic for 3 hours turned pretty much decided into “where do I sign?”. He must have done a hell of a sell job if LeBron was ok with (and I assumed he was informed/asked) us signing Lance and McGee.

I could listen to Magic talk basketball all day. Says me for like the 4th time. I'm sure it's the same with LeBron. And Magic loves LBJ's game, aside from him being one of the top players in the history of the league. A game with his height and his looking for the right pass similar to his when Magic ran Showtime.

Ok, so I refused to bend the knee, and I got my legs chopped off.

But I haven't surrendered. I'm going to re-equip, and continue my journey. LLLLLLebron better be on his best behavior, or Laker fans will call him on his BS.

It was a good move to not drag out Free Agency this year so we could reload and use our cap space wisely, and it did show a minute amount of a little infinitesimal smidge less narcissism than at pretty much all other times in his life. He's an all time great, and if he can become slightly less arrogant, it might not be completely terrible to not boo him or wish injury upon him when I see him play. That's the best I can do for now.

    NEVER. BEND. THE. KNEE.

This statement is more meaningful than Dan Gilbert's.

Weird sh*t. Mixed feelings. Never liked LBJ. Not right for LAL. Hope we keep some of the young core- Zo, Kuz, Ingram.

Lol I don’t know how you can not like the best player in the league coming to your team and put us back to revelancy.

Are you not tired of mediocrity for years on end and constantly losing out on Free Agency?

We’re back in business. Free Agents are gonna come flocking here. Rejoice and bend da knee!

Haven't read this yet, but Lee Jenkins pieces are always amazing with insights (ex: Phone call to Kobe in article)

Very good read. These parts stood out

Again, I do not think LeBron calls up Jim Buss and/or Mitch to come to his house for a meeting. The Magic hiring was huge for us, he’s an NBA legend and respected and beloved still among NBA players. Gotta be grateful to Kobe for that phone call too.

    Watching NBA-TV (paraphrasing):

Kenny Smith (In London): My phone was ringing...wondering what is going on...someone get hurt? Turns out to be Cleveland.

    Ouch... :)

Barkley stated that signing James was the easy part refusing to give Johnson and Pelinka full credit. The hard part according to him is the next move. Who follows?

Such a boss move: Boarding his private plane to Europe for a few weeks and his last thing he says is "Call the Lakers".

    Haha
