    From a business opportunity perspective it’s hard to beat the big markets, but as far as a place to live and pace of life, I’m with you.

    I’m in Houston right now, but I’d prefer to be on the outskirts to live

    Exactly. And LeBron taking his sweet time as usual doesn’t help things. If he’s truly made up his mind, I hope he’s informed all interested teams, so they can get to work with him or without him in mind.

    i'm fine with not trading for leonard

    the only way i would have thought its a good idea is if PG signed. trading away the young core for kawhi leaves us with lebron (assuming he signs) and kawhi and no other pieces

    Buyouts still count against the cap, so unless Bayless is willing to give up a bunch of cash, I don't understand this.

    PG's decision to stay and LeBron's hesitation to sign with us has given the Spurs a great deal of leverage.

    They will continue to negotiate under the assumption that we need Kawhi to sign LeBron, and they can possibly receive better offers from other teams who will be willing to call Kawhi's bluff now that they saw PG go from "Lakers only" to "I love OKC".

    Unless the Lakers give up a big haul for Kawhi, we're not getting him any time soon.

    My only concern is if LBJs and Leonard's coming here was contingent on forming a big 3 with PG. The media narrative has shifted away from the Lakers making a splash this summer, which does concern me.

    But honestly as long as we don't sign Deng/Mozgov type of contracts, I'm good.

    We need to operate as if we aren't getting lebron, too.

    Also, if philly's only offering saric/Covington/1st, the leverage isn't working yet.
