    first time in free agency
    does a special with ESPN...

re-signs with OKC without meeting with any other team?

if that's the case, that's just effing weird. i'll laugh if he re-signs with that team

If PG isn’t coming here, I think it would actually be kind of cool if Lebron came here on his own with our young squad. it just means there’s a more likely chance we re-sign Randle, and still have cap space to fill out the roster.

I’d like to try to bring back Lopez, Avery Bradley, and Shabaz Napier on 1 year deals.

    Ball/Napier/Caruso
    Ingram/Bradley/Hart
    Lebron
    Randle/Kuzma
    Lopez/Zubac/Wagner

Ingram and Kuzma can split time at backup SF, we would have our own small ball death lineup of Ball/Ingram/Kuzma/Lebron/Randle

Boy, I don't even know what to say...

I'll admit I'm a bit nervous about PG13 re-signing with the Thunder on the first night of free agency...if that really does happen? That will kill our leverage with the Spurs for Kawhi...and then Boston/Philly might be more willing to part with real assets to get Kawhi. At that point, we'll have to put Ingram on the table forreal and make a real offer...can't take another chance to miss out on this guy.

Also, if we get Kawhi, I would make a run at Cousins as well....get LeBron, Kawhi and Cousins. Or LeBron and Cousins with the young kids and a re-signed Randle...

Oh and f*** you PG13 if you choose the Thunder over the Lakers...especially if we get LeBron! (i would understand it if we don't get LeBron)

like i said before, no reason to trade for kawhi if lebron signs and PG doesn't

the only reason they should even think about trading for kawhi is if they both sign

    lebron+kawhi+no young core
    OR
lebron+young core. i'll go with the latter

As one of those guys I disagree it is hogwash. We want guys who want to be here. If PG wants to stay in OKC great for him. He has the choice to sign with whoever he wants to sign with but if he goes back to the team then he absolutely isn't our guy. No one is arguing talent or even desire to have him in the the Purple and Gold. I can speak for me, here is a team that has the players, the biggest of lights and markets, more opportunities outside the game, possibly playing with the often said best player in the game and he gets to come to his home town team yet doesn't then yea he is not our guy.

If PG were to sign back, the Thunder would have a 160 million dollar repeater lux tax hit. Not a chance IN HELL he signs back with them.

Yeah I’ll be leading the angry mob against PG on this one.

I’m not even sure how angry you can get with the front office if they aren’t even able to officially meet with him.

The three part documentary was already annoying to me. But to talk about how this was your dream and not even meet with the team? Especially when we look better long term if we sign Lebron.

Yeah just no. If he won’t even meet with us officially then I stand by my earlier thoughts. Rot in OKC with the black hole on offense.

Is that Laker fan arrogance? Probably.
    Do I care? No.

I’ve seen 2 people say now that PG re-signing with the Thunder kills our leverage for Kawhi, and I’m not sure I follow. I’m not saying you guys are wrong, I’m saying I’m genuinely confused on the matter. Doesn’t us not getting PG mean we then have that 2nd max spot left open, which means Kawhi can walk to us in 2019 and help our leverage? I was under the impression the only way we could get LeBron, PG, and Kawhi was to trade for Kawhi, because LeBron and PG both opted out and sign and trades were off the table. So if we sign LeBron and PG, then we HAVE to trade for Kawhi if we want him, no? Doesn’t securing LeBron and PG both actually kill our leverage? I’m lost.

I mean, that’s not really PG’s concern, and if the Thunder weren’t willing to pay it they wouldn’t have traded for him. Clearly they’ve learned from their Harden trade mistake and won’t be cheap again because being cheap once undoubtedly cost them Durant.

Also as someone who questioned the trades last year and would’ve been okay with trading for George I’m still not upset with the front office here. I’d rather use those trade assets to go after Kawhi who is the better player as long as he is healthy.

I still think it's incredibly ironic that the Thunder GM had the nerve to say "scared money dont make money" when he and his owner traded away the reigning MVP because they didnt want to pay.

It is, and it was very funny to see him use that quote on an ESPN special. Like cringe-worthy funny.

I'd be utterly shocked if PG signs with OKC. Why would he give up on winning? Makes absolutely no sense.

There is being cheap, then there is destroying your finances. I just can't see it. By the way, that's 160 million on top of salaries they will be paying that add up to 160 million. That's 320 million in salaries and penalties. No way.

None of this information matters to Paul George.
