I read somewhere that he was going to take meetings in Vegas on July 2nd. Either way....think about his history in the league. He re-upped immediately after his rookie deal with Indy. This summer will be his first crack at being an UFA...he took out a 3 part spread in ESPN for this s***. He's going to live up being wined and dined. I just find it absolutely hard to believe that he would go party in OKC tonight and reveal that he is staying. That wouldn't be a good look for him or his agency. He's giving Russ and OKC the first crack at it, then he's going to go do the whole song and dance of being a free agent. Bron's done it already which is why, he's staying low key. This is PG's first crack at it... Let's all wait till pen hits paper....and then we can really let dude have it if he spurns us.
OK. I'm not deleting that gif. We may need it to stop the umm .... errr ....you know .... here. IF PG really is a big PUS.
The fact that we wouldn't even get a meeting with PG, should leave anyone with a brain confused and utterly speechless
yeah it would be one thing if he re-signed with OKC but it would be entirely different if he did it without even meeting with any other team i still think he's going to stay but at the same time, i just don't see him doing it without even going through the FA process
I'm definitely confused by that. If LeBron is on the table, the Lakers are at the table, and we don't get a meeting then this dude never really wanted to be a Laker. Seriously! To not even give them a shot would be completely be a message that he had no intention of signing here, ever, because this is the best opportunity he'll ever have at home.
I personally want him to become DeRozan 2.0, the guy who wanted to be the greatest Toronto Raptor ever. Go ahead and be the greatest OKC Thunder ever, like that's ever happening...
I'm utterly confused by all this. I'll keep all my anger/happiness/frustration/pleasure in check until 9:01 PM. Just have to stay off Twitter.
Reading the last few pages to catch up I think @vasashi17 has a point that this part could just be a way for PG to be with friends before tomorrow's meeting with OKC or something. It definitely isn't great news but the not meeting at all with us yet and still staying in OKC just doesn't add up.
Too many conflicting reports. My emotions are messed up. What's sad is Paul George is one of my favorite players since he's been drafted....
Maybe its a goodbye party. I mean D Jordon was gone and went back to the Flippers. Speaking of which didn't Elton Brand get someone to sign there and then bolt? Until fool sign something I don't think anyone knows for sure. In any case, I have always said, I want guys who want to play here. If he doesn't want to stand under these lights let him chill under Russ shadow.
If he does show up to the game everyone in attendance should recruit Paul George by chanting Lakers Lakers Lakers
I can’t imagine he goes to OKC without even speaking to Magic. Unbelievable honestly and it will be one of the biggest swings I’ve done from liking to hating a player.
Deep down I still feel like we’re being worked and he ends up in LA but Who knows with all these people pushing different angles and agendas in the media.
