I’ve been browsing some Thunder forums the past half an hour or so.

From what I’ve read, an OKC fan already spotted him at the OKC airport. No evidence though.

The rumors are that the barber is well-connected in OKC sports circles (some beat writers even commented on his legitimacy). One fan said he was at the barbershop and the barber was talking about how he was giving one of Russ’s friends a haircut. And Russ’s friend said he needed the cut to get ready for a party Russ was throwing to celebrate PG re-signing.

Some other people in OKC are saying that the party is confirmed, but I’ve read conflicting reports of whether it’s tonight or tomorrow.

That charity thing in LA is interesting. But feels like something low key that George might easily decide to skip out on. Honestly I’d kinda be surprised if George was at a public event tonight right before free agency starts. If he does show up, that would be interesting.

But of course there are all sorts of other possible holes in this story. Who knows how good of a friend to Russ the guy who revealed this to the barber even is. Could be that Russ is throwing a random party and the “friend” is more of an acquaintance that is just speculating that it’s about George. Maybe the whole thing is BS.

It would be title or bust , as a 2nd ( or 3rd option) , of course he would get some blame in case of failure .

I mean this is the only explanation

It's fine , he's no Lebron or Kawhi to begin with .

If he doesn't want it , let him stay in OKC and look dumber than he already is

Recall that part of the docuseries where Mintz is giving George the facts about how salaries could be constructed for him. He makes a reference to how PG can hit the market again when he's 30 and then sign a 5 year 35% max deal with OKC to really get that bread.

I just don't understand why he was adamant about leaving Indy when its there that he gets the supermax and its there he has the likelihood of making deep postseason runs, but also making all-nba teams because the stars are so weak on the East and he would stand out.

To go from where he was last year to suddenly wanting that bag, really is bizarre to me.

I still think its tampering, but I could see how this can become about money as well. Maybe he has regrets as to how much he really left in Indy.

if lebron does sign in LA i can't think of a single good reason why PG would stay in OKC

i mean, does watching westbrook iso defenders up, playing with the corpse of melon, and losing in the 1st round sound that attractive?

The Lakers might have gotten word about this and this is any the push for Leonard in recent days; just speculation.

Just a strange decision if he decides to stay, but it is what it is.

PG is really close to his agent Mintz.

Remember when Rob said they touched base and had a cordial exchange with Jules and his representation and Mintz came back with a blunt, the hell they did. Followed by we don't know where they prioritize Jules, if at all.

So maybe this is some kind of power grab by Mintz. We're going to make you sweat and if you really want George, you gotta take care of Jules.

Another angle is that if we're talking to SA about a Kawhi deal, then Jules in a S&T is a very real possibility. We would need Jules/Mintz cooperation there. So this one dude can really make or break our summer.

But I'll still take a whole lot of solace in having Bron in P&G....the rest will work itself out...I have no doubt.

    Nas huh?

I bet Zo would've rejected OKC if he was a free agent!

Can we start s***tin' on this dude yet?

And hate to say it, but this kills any leverage we might have in a Kawhi deal....other teams will see what PG did and chance at throwing a good offer to SA now. Hopefully Kawhi is not as soft as PG is and holds true to his threat to walk next summer.
