The more I think about this, the more interesting it is... Are we close to a Kawhi deal? Is Lonzo's camp worried about his placement on the team? Why would anyone leak this? It's definitely from a Laker-centric source and not the Spurs. This is a weird one.
I think Kemba is really good, but I wouldn’t trade Zo for him. I think Zo fits perfectly with LeBron and PG and what we are trying to do here, where Kemba is a scoring pg. Zo is also on a rookie deal through 2022 (which admittedly jumps up in the last 2 years in price), and while Kemba only makes 12 mil, this is his last year, so he’s a potential rental where we have Zo locked up for 4 more years. Not something I’d personally do/risk.
So Ramona just said it was Lonzo’s camp that leaked the meniscus injury. She says that Lakers are not allowed to release that because it’s against HIPPA laws. And only Lonzo’s camp have that information. She even joked it was leaked so he doesn’t get traded. Link: http://m.espn.com/general/play?id=23949366&cast=5988567
Lonzo is untouchable in my book. He represents everything Magic and Luke envisions in a point guard, making him irreplaceable. Once he regains the confidence in his shooting, the rest of his game will flourish as well. Lonzo + Lakeshow will be transcendent.
Lavar Ball finally realizing his big mouth isn't gonna dig his son out of the black hole. Of course Lonzo's camp leaked it.
After a years time, Lavar’s strategic moves have done a 180. I thought he had some good ideas, but the execution is baaaad. He’s helping to make his son untouchable in the wrong way.
Magic is all about the Lakers. Lavar did this and also ripped Luke and Training Staff. I think Magic will trade Lonzo, no matter how much he loves him, if it continues much more.
Agreed. Life is too short to deal with that nonsense. He better shape up and fly right, or we’ll be signing another PG
Tatum's mom was a single-mother with seemingly good character; she sounds very intelligent and well-grounded. Instead, we got LaVar and his son... Magic,
My my my. I have to admit I never expected this kid's dad's mouth to be this big an issue but he's using as an effective weapon even against the Lakers if it suits him. I'm renaming him and his mouth LAVORTEX
It was more of a thought experiment. I just like the idea of having three guys in their prime along with keeping a good chunk of our youth. Kemba can by a poor man's Kyrie which has shown to work with Lebron. PG on the wing is 10x better than anything that Cavs team had on the wing, and Ingram I think will be able to contribute as much as Love did as early as next year. Hart, Lopez and Kuz filling out the roster? I don't know if it beats the Warriors, but it definitely gives them a ton of problems.
