Yeah and look. Here You and Chewy are still around doing Star Wars films. Harrison killed off last installment. And Leia sadly has passed.
Saw this on r/lakers.......... From a poster "Maverick Floor": No disrespect to your sources, but... 1) LeBron and Paul George will be Lakers. It has been pre-determined since last year. 2) I can guarantee you, PG appreciates the OKC fans, but definitely wants to go home 1,000%. All other noise you hear is completely false. 3) For the right deal, the Spurs will trade Kawhi to the Lakers. It's not a guarantee, but the Spurs will relent if the right package is offered. They're trying to squeeze the best deal out of LA by creating as much leverage as they can, which they have none. 4) LeBron is not signing a 1 + 1. He is signing a 4-year max with the Los Angeles Lakers. With the line of work I do (which I have shared in previous posts), I hear some things. One of the projects my agency works on is planning and purchasing media for sport sponsorships with other agencies. One client is ESPN SA. I've heard some things, as recent as this morning, from ESPN SA contacts that the Spurs are willing to deal Kawhi to the Lakers for the right package. They want to drive up that price as high as they can. That's why they have to create that leverage by putting it out in the media that they will not trade to a WC team, let alone the Lakers. They are bringing in the C Bags in negotiations to help drive up that price, to get as much as they can out of the Lakers. The longer the Spurs wait, the trade offers, from anyone, get exponentially worse. Kawhi wants the Lakers. And Magic and Pelinka are trying to bring him home. They want to bring Kawhi home by his birthday. The Lakers refused to sweeten their trade offer for PG because they already knew at that point that PG was committed to becoming a Laker. Yes, it was under-the-table. Nothing has changed to this day. So knowing that back then, why would the Lakers surrender anything of value if they knew PG was secured? That's why the Pacers got suspicious when the Lakers never beefed up their offer (along with Magic's Kimmel interview) and had the Lakers investigated which led to the tampering fine. Do you know what kind of communications they found in their investigations? If you look at all of the personnel moves from the moment Magic and Pelinka stepped into the front office (Russel/Mosgov trade, Lou Williams trade, Clarkson/Nance trade) you will notice that these trades were done in full confidence of knowing LeBron & PG had already decided to become Lakers. They all planned it last year. No one risks that much of their youth for a chance at maybe luring not one, but both, LeBron James & Paul George. Especially trading away D'Angelo so quickly after becoming the Lakers' GM and not even giving him a chance to see how he'd play in the backcourt with Lonzo Ball. You just don't mechanically trade all of those young players that early unless you have that assurance that LeBron and PG are coming. That's what I've been trying to convey. I could go into Space Jam 2 details but won't. Either way, LeBron and Paul George were never contingent upon each other or Kahwi. If Kawhi is not traded to the Lakers, LeBron and PG would still sign with the Lakers. It was a done deal last year. They planned it perfectly. The world is going to go bonkers when LeBron announces his decision via Uninterrupted and Space Jam 2. They timed it well, especially with the advent of InstagramTV. Genius. *Don't underestimate LeBron the Business Man. Don't underestimate Rob Pelinka. He knows what he's doing. *
he's not. we just want to believe it. I will say, it was written in a way that makes it sound credible, but it could just be someone who's connected a bunch of dots and posted it on the internet as fact.
I do think that Lebron announces his decision via Uninterrupted and Space Jam 2/ InstagramTV. I've heard this quite a bit
I read that somewhere as well which is why this guy could be connecting dots. Either way, that post sounds like it was written by someone who has actual sources. We can't know for sure so it could just be some joe schmo, but it's all plausible.
Seems mostly like connecting the dots. But the announcement via IG TV before the space jam 2 trailer is confirmed I think. I remember posting a tweet about it a couple days ago.
Its always been this...and that is what that "insider" is largely saying. Why risk safe passage to LA if they already hit us on 2 tampering charges (1 involving PG himself). Just play it coy and close to the vest and give the illusion that OKC is where you're leaning till Magic wowed you at the meetings. However, PG is a known people pleaser and I think most fans are souring on him presently as a defense mechanism, in case he's actually taken too many of Russ's paintballs to the head and ends up choosing OKC.
That's the best non-credible source I've read in days... so much better than the media doom and gloom lol
I've always liked nluna75 and his inside sauces! Welcome to LakersBall with that very plausible first post. Stay @nluna75 .... You can be our new "Gumby" (from Clublakers days inside reference) who broke that Trevor Ariza was signing with us that off season. LOL turned out to be he was Ariza's agent coming into CL to break the story.
