I'm pretty sure LeBron and Paul are teaming up, all indications are, even recently George said to those annoying tmz reporters that he loves playing with LeBron. I'm sure LeBron called George many times, this seems like smoke to avoid tampering by hyping up as if he's going to sign with OKC. Or he really is a dumb a**
2nd biggest mistake will be the freaking documentary. We don't need that crap while it's going on. Release it years later once the dust settles and people still care about you.
If all of this Kawhi talk is any indication to PG that our FO are working their tail off to put together an incredible team, I don't know what is. Meanwhile in OKC...
PG13 may end up screwing himself with this "I might stay in OKC" talk cuz Lakers might just go and get Kawhi, LeBron and Cousins instead. PG13 is best to play this right or he'll be getting BEATEN by the Lakers every year...
He is staying in OKC. And they are going to have a heck of a luxury tax bill for a tread mill team. Hahahaha
1. It’s a lot easier to trade for you when the GM doesn’t hate you and will actually pick up the phone when you call. Good ol’ KP wasn’t sending PG to the Lakers, he took what was at the time a WEAK deal to send him elsewhere. 2. If you’re about winning a title, you’re an idiot if you pick OKC, because it isn’t happening there when they are capped out from now until forever, even after Melo expires, because Adams is sill there and Roberson is gonna have to get paid too. 3.
PG is going to look foolish, not necessarily for staying in OKC, but for the theatrics like LeBron when he left Cleveland. Ain’t nobody caring about him staying in OKC that it would require a documentary. I don’t see the boost to his brand from it either. Going to the Lakers in a hush would do more for his brand than that.
He’s coming. You don’t start off the first 30 seconds of your “decision” part 2 documentary talking about how you love LA and grew up imagining yourself wearing a Lakers jersey... only to pick OKC. I really think him and LeBron are a done deal, and the stuff with Kawhi is just to make it a super team among the 3. Kawhi and PG as your defensive pit bulls while LeBron roams to try to block shots from the weak side... dam
I just hope all this stuff we’re seeing was filmed before LeBron started calling/texting him. That could change things quickly.
PG wants to win championships..... With Russell OneWayStatBrook.... And 30 million Steven Adams..... In OKC....
Yeah I’m getting sick of PG. Still think he’s signing with the Lakers, but I don’t like the theatrics. He’s a Tier 2 star. He moves the needle, but I don’t like this idea that we should be so lucky to have Paul. Sorry bro, but you should feel lucky to wear the purple and gold. I still hope he signs with us, but I would have no problem if they pivot and only worry about a Kawhi/Lebron pairing. I hope he’s relayed to us that it’s a done deal and this is all for show, because I don’t think he’s worth the coverage. Edit: just finished part 2. Everything they said felt scripted and worthless. Total waste of 6 minutes.
if he thinks OKC is a championship contender with that team than so be it....he'll deserve no pity when OKC continues to trade away high price players for nothing back cause they can't afford to keep paying the tax for 1st rd exits. I know OKC had solid advance stats with Robertson there but to lose to a utah team lead by a rookie and using Robertson as the excuse is embarrasing, especially OKC fans who have been using that reason.
No one in hell can you convince me or probably anyone that OKC gives you the best chance to win a ring.
I'm honestly not sure what PG is planning on doing. Some parts of the documentary make me think he's coming to LA. Then I see him including Sam Presti in the documentary and I don't think he'd ask for him to be in the film only to then leave OKC and say he's joining the Lakers.
I’m not getting all the hate for PG now that there is the potential of getting Kawhi. They aren’t mutually exclusive. I love what PG brings to the table. He’s a legit two way player. Players love playing with him. He’s exactly what we need and would be a fantastic teammate, mentor and role model for the Lakers.
