    I don’t agree that it’s good to give up your future for a couple of glorious moments. Sure we would definitely win championships immediately, but you don’t want to completely trade away the future for present glory.

    It's gotta be spurs smoke, leaking the bs of "Lakers better trade everything for Kawhi because Lebron and PG aren't coming until they trade for Kawhi."

    I say call their bluff and wait on Lebron and PG to sign first. Then Spurs have even less leverage than they have now. kawhi isn't stepping foot back in the San Antonio locker room and other teams aren't giving up ish for a rental.

    If im magic and Rob I offer ONE of Ingram/Kuz+deng and two 1sts with no dead weight coming back.

    Could you imagine if we somehow kept BI??? Play Lebron at freaking center for all I care!

    yeah, unless i had it basically in writing (which isn't legal), i'd tell the spurs we can talk again in a couple months. if we get george and lebron (or either, really), our position is still strong. and if we don't, the cap space looming next year should still be enough to make other bidders nervous.

    only way to lose is overpay today.

    I do too brother, and I know Magic and Rob aren't going to gamble our future away unless it benefits the Lakers as a whole.

    By next week, I'm sure the right decisions will be made, and we'll be well on our way to contention...I hope.

    Summer 2004 Shaq trade:
    Shaq for Odom, Butler, Grant, 1st rd pick

    2004 Shaq > 2018 Kawhi, but it's close. 2005 shaq was runner up MVP
    Odom = Ingram in value
    Butler = Hart in value
    Grant's dead weight contract= Dung's
    1st rounders are about the same

    honestly, that's fair value given the circumstances. ingram's got a high ceiling is a kawhi play-alike. plus he's younger and didn't just miss a year due to injury.

    will boston offer jaylen brown and a better 1st? i'm guessing not. so are you going to pull a pritchard?

    btw: interesting that we made an offer here when we supposedly didn't on paul george.

    If we can't unload Deng, can we stretch him and still sign Lebron and PG? Yes, right? it just guarantees no creative way of keeping Randle...

    Let's hope this won't hurt BI (like it did Pau and Odom).
