Yes. With his Bird Rights they can still offer him a full max slot that starts at 30.6 million and worth a total of about 137 million or so. To do this they'll go over the luxury tax threshold and pay a repeater tax. They could spend something like 300-400 million for their roster.
yeah. it would be a lot easier with lebron already in tow, but the lakers can go a lot of ways, and the thunder can't. moreover, the thunder are close to topping out and aren't at a level much higher than the lakers with george would be very soon, if not next year. still, though, i'm one of those who thinks it's tough to leave a superstar for uncertainty, particularly if winning is a top priority.
i can't think of any good reasons for PG to stay with OKC they should be on the very bottom of his list
Hey Paul. You werent in the Top 15 for jersey sales in the playoffs... Top 15 Paul. You got beat by Jayson Tatum and DeMar Derozan... what do you think happens with the Lakers?
I think it's a very safe assumption that LeBron has reached out to Paul about LA (and maybe Cleveland too or Houston even, both those would he tougher). For me, it would be one of the easiest choices in my life to pick LeBron and LA over Westbrook and OKC. The only possible hesitation is if those two don't believe it's enough to play with each other in LA. That will fall on Magic and Rob.
I think he thinks that team only had a year to gel and that they would be better this coming season. I mean that could be true, but overall still quite delusional if he thinks that team is going anywhere past the conference semi-finals. That and he supposedly him and Westbrook have a "close" bond.
All this drama to break the hearts of all these southern Californians?! I don't know man.... George you're from here, do you want to be cheered as the hero or boo'd as the villain? You know what the right decision is
I've got a lot of family out there. It's getting worse. One of the few areas "near" LA where you can buy a large house for a reasonable sum, but it's a giant dirt pit out there.
billy donovan must be super likeable in person. that's all i can figure. because there's little evidence he's a good coach.
