There's wayyy to much smoke about PG wanting to stay in OKC. What exactly is the deciding factor that would contribute to him wanting to stay? Playoff success? No. Playing with some stat padding "stars"? No. A big market team? No. How could PG not want to go to a big market team, join an even better star, play in a more unselfish system, and go back to your hometown team?
I'm not too worried. It's just time that the calendar turns. All these somewhat sources are really getting on my nerves. No one legitimate really reported anything in the past weeks of PG. If he was so set on returning I guess we would have heard - not some made up sauccccessss...
I think PG is just playing up that narrative so it looks like he doesn't want to spurn Russ. He's coming to LA and he'll tell Russ that he seriously considered staying in OKC but his family "made" him sign with LA.
That makes sense too. As Vash has alluded he's a very politically correct puss. #atnotampering@george .... ?
If George doesn't come it tells me he is not really craving the bright lights and prefers to be under the radar in OKC under the shadow of Westbrook. If that really is what he prefers, then its better he stays away from the Lakers. I guess we will soon find out.
Just don't understand when our situation and possibly teaming up with LeBron seems like a no brainer.
This doesn't make sense to be honest. If PG is about winning and Lebron is coming, why would you choose to play with Westbrook and the rest of those guys? They have zero chance at improving. Is it the extra year that important? Did he get THAT close to Westbrook over the past year? Does his family's preference mean absolutely nothing to him? I still think he's coming.
Why isn't he really showing his true hand? #TamperingReasons And if he really does choose to stay, then... #TamponReasons Disclaimer: I'm referencing to a scared lil feline or mutt...I'm definitely not making any correlation to a strong woman.
Tears thru them s***s like no tomorrow. Adam at my local Walgreens knows me real well. Btw, I gotta keep it PC in the George thread. It's the appropriate thing to do...it's the "visor" thing to do. Doing anything else would be dumb. You get it yet Savs or do I have to spell it out for you? #ElderlyAsianWomen
With the tampering issues, do not be surprised if all this "He may sign a 2 year deal" with OKC and PG being PC is the way they try and steer clear from the tampering issues. Paul George has a max contract waiting for him in his home area, with his favorite team, with a new regime in place where they are wanting to get titles NOW. How the hell are you going to convince me he isn't signing with the Lakers? Why? Because of a 5th year? You really think he can't get that 5th year later? He is in his prime. Durant left a 5th year, Hayward left a 5th year, Howard left a 5th year, the 5th year doesnt mean anything. Paul George will be a LA Laker next month and there is nothing that will convince me otherwise. The ONLY way he isn't, is if San Antonio takes a s*** deal in the Kawhi Leonard deal. Lakers have the ability with some slick deals, to get two max players and lose NO ONE. That's a big advantage over anything out there. Lakers can keep their young guys AND have two all stars come. Why would you throw that away? Julius Randle on a title contender is the perfect 6th man. If it's Lebron and George coming, then you have BI, Kuz, Hart, Lonzo and if they draft another stud to go with a young AND experienced team. If the Lakers find a trade partner for Deng, they can keep everyone and still get their stars. I would do that. I think Kawhi is gonna be this years Paul George. He wont be able to come here in a trade, he will have to come here in free agency where the lakers THEN could trade some assets if they still want him. Lakers will know for sure in a year if the younglings are good to keep.
Not the most reliable source, but at 5:30 in this video Cowherd says that all the buzz about George staying in OKC is all being pushed by Westbrook’s agent. Cowherds saying not to buy it and all indications are that George is still leaning towards LA.
Agree. Still think it's the ol poker bluff... You act like you're ready to go all in with your hand, but you know you should fold and play a new hand you think you can win with for further long term success(Lakers).
