We are the Lakers, it's championship or bust. He better know damn well Rob, Magic and Jeanie will build a contending team, we just need the one or two stars first.

The Kobe contract, it's why I've yelling that we (fans) should stop building rosters around the idea that PG or Lebron will take a little less from their max to keep Randle or whomever.

I’ll believe that when I actually see it. He hasn’t made it known that he is trying to tone it down so don’t see why he would on a young team.

did i miss the coverage of the all-important meeting? i mean, everyone wants to chime in on where his kids go to school, but nobody's got anything on his actual scheduled sit-down with the team to discuss the future?

This is one of my thoughts too. We keep hearing Bron needs a true PG like Lonzo BUT Bron has never given way to anyone except for the 4th quarter and crunch time (up until 2 playoffs ago). Why do we think Bron will want to play off of a 2nd year player? I haven't seen (although I have to admit I haven't seen a ton of the games) Lonzo be that player who is going to demand the ball and take control of the court especially with guys like Bron and PG on the team. If Lonzo becomes that Point Gaurd then I would love to see a track meet with Bron on the wing.

One could say the same for Zo about having another player to distribute the ball. He looked very good at UCLA when he was paired next to a capable ball distributor in Holiday. He was able to be good off the ball too.

Zo has to show Lebron that he can be trusted (making the right plays, knocking down open 3's consistently, etc.) like how young Kobe gained Shaq's trust or how Kyrie gained Lebron's trust.

I think he’s referring to reports that Lebron was going to inform Cleveland of his free agency plans today.

I had read that somewhere yesterday but it was a pretty vague tweet. I took it to mean that Lebron would let Cleveland know whether he was opting out or not.

I've heard through a friend of a friend, so take with a giant grain of salt, but there's an investigation into a tampering violation between the Lakers and LeBron. I'm not sure what the extent is.

Ideally, you don’t really have a focal point to the offense and everyone works off of each other like Golden State does. The offense doesn’t truly revolve around Curry or Durant, but through efficient passing and movement, they are able to get everyone involved and get themselves open as well.

Ideally, we can have any one of Lebron, George, Ingram, or Zo initiate the offense and everyone else moves off ball. We’ve seen it this season with Luke moving Zo off ball and BI running point. Imagine adding two additional playmakers to the mix.

True. And Luke moved Zo off ball with BI at point opened up his game and his three point shooting improved dramatically.

I think Zo does have the ability, as we saw with the San Antonio game, but there’s definitely a ways to go for him. Who better to mentor Zo than a player who prefers to pass first than Lebron?

Let me take a wild guess. Butthurt Gilbert has complained to Silver about our FO now doing what every other FO has done all along regarding back channel communication.

Gilbert has probably picked up on your big mouthed Lakers insider son spilling the beans.

Or the Bresnahan interview the other day.

Third time's charm for Magic and Rob?

    Yikes.

I think it’ll be interesting to see if Lebron can take a slight step back from being so ball dominate. I don’t think we’ll need as many 40+ scoring games out of him like in Cleveland. I just don’t wanna see our young talented core reduced to standing jump shooters, like I’ve seen in past seasons with his supporting cast in Cleveland.

Interesting post from the insider on clutchfans, cyberx, worth sharing (he mixed up Hart and Kuz, but no big deal)

    http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/2-0-cyberex-paging-cyberex.272647/page-47#post-11824402

Then someone said “Lonzo for Lillard, roflmao”, and he responded with

Personally, I’m very much hoping he’s wrong on all these players we’d be giving up, but it was incredibly funny to read all the Rockets fans responses to the possibility of this in the pages following his comment. Cries of tampering, not wanting to watch the nba anymore if we go from bad to title contender that fast, not understanding why LeBron would choose to play with a “s****y” player like Zo, saying LeBron would be pulling a Melo in NY and sacrificing titles for lifestyle, pure comedy gold, it’s worth reading through.
