    Media just churning stories to fill in the time. Woj covers his a** both ways without committing to anything. LeBron obviously goes to L.A. because they have the cash, but LeBron doesn’t go to L.A. because of fear of Kobe critiques. Way to go woj. About as good as Ramona with that technique. Typical.

    From time to time, Stephen A can be entertaining, and I thought this was pretty entertaining. He also makes a good point, every superstar to come to the Lakers has won a title. I also enjoyed the Clippers diss

    Actually he would be helping himself out quite a bit if he traded Bron to LA. He gains a fat TPE (that doesn't count towards taxes if left unused)...he probably gains draft capital...and in the case of a opt out and S&T, he also gains the built in excuse not to spend a dime over 130M (and can even give him a reason to shed payroll) cause a S&T'd Bron hard caps the Cavs.

    All LA would be gaining (other than Bron of course) is his bird rights and we've seen with his previous decisions, just how important those rights are to him. Instead why help Gilbert out...we can just have him walk into our cap space.

    Yes, but you see, with Dan being a spiteful, petty little moron, he wouldn’t see things this way. He’d see “LeBron to the Lakers, another small market team loses a star to a big market, Lakers are great again, LeBron spurns him again!”. And so he’d let LeBron walk to us for free to tell the fans “hey, I didn’t help LA, I’m the good guy, LeBron is the villain, burn his jersey again!”, or trade him to Houston to spite us. That’s the kind of guy good ol’ Dan is, sort of like good ol’ KP over there in Indiana.

    again, if lebron walks, they don't need love. they can easily move enough of him, korver, gordon, and tucker into cap space--without giving up anything--and get under the tax.

    so, i don't think the financial issue is legitimate.

    pretty sure they have the minimum salaries on the roster to do it. if they don't, flipping just one for someone who makes *slightly* more does the trick. no need to lose capela.
