Loved watching him chase the triple double with turnovers tonight. Keep it up. Hopefully the Hawks rip that damn crown off his head in the ECF.

At very best the Cavs will go to the Finals (which I don't think will happen) ... to get destroyed by the WC champ ...

Just came to this realization. Felt the need to share

Google King James. I don't know how I didn't realize this before. I don't know what to make of this

My God! Just when I didn't think it was possible for ESPN to suck any harder upon the lower region of LBJ and his team...this was their lead in to SportCenter:

"...How the Cavs are better than anyone in the West"

^Yesterday they also ran a story about...wait for it... Lebron playing without a headband. It was on their front page.

I'm so tired of this ish. Now leBron is so good he's the real coach too. They turn their season around and of course it's because 'Bron took over coaching duties. Maybe Blatt should pass his coach of the month honor over to the King. Look, I have no doubt LeBron knows how to run a team and an offense, he's been doing it for 11 years, but come on now. This isn't college either, plenty of players do this same thing. NBA coaches don't control everything like college coaches do, they manage egos, teach the offense and defense in practice, and then the pros go out there and follow a plan but also call their own stuff, they know the details of the game, it's why they're the best of the best. You think Durant, Westbrook, Kobe, Melo, and others are looking at the coach each offensive possession? No way, they know the game and don't need to have their hand held along the way.

Weezy I posted the following in the NBA Discussion a few days ago. It was the last post on the page and didn't get seen but I think it applies to what you are talking about too. The narrative is to promote and prove that Bron is the best. If Kobe was calling his own plays in the same fashion the media would crucify him. Actually he already is for his sometimes disregard for others while doing it himself. Let Lebron do it and it is "doing what is right" or "showing them how it is done" etc. Clev is now back to being the point of great topic that way no one has to pay attention to how bad the East really is compared to the West

Guys, ESPN doesn't really like or love Lebron James as a person or as a player. He drives ratings. ESPN wants higher ratings so they can get more ad revenue. It's the public's fault, not ESPN's. People like us who are not fans of him still want to know what he did so we can hate on it. People who love him want to follow his every move. Let's be real guys, if people didn't click on LBJ articles and tune in to watch LBJ stories, ESPN would stop running them in a heartbeat. It's the same reason the Lakers and Yankees are mentioned in EVERY SINGLE trade speculation and free agent "interest" piece. It guarantees clicks. If for some reason Robert Sacre became the most loved player in the league, we'd be inundated with Sacre pieces. ESPN is a business. It is owned by the Mouse House, the greatest multi-media empire the world has ever known. They do everything with $$$s in mind. They run countless focus groups to figure out what will drive the ratings. They know we hate him and they know a lot of people are sick of him. They also know he and the Cavs aren't the gods they make them out to be. They don't care. He makes them money.

True, but it's a cycle that's also driven things to new levels. ESPN really DOES love LeBron. Why? Because he makes them money. Their writers will defend him. Their media personalities will go along with the hype. Their comparisons will all be favorable. They're ready to make excuses for him.

I'm sure someone is sitting on the LeBron PED story. I'm just waiting for that to drop so we can finally see the fall of LeBron's media domination. I'm not sure what devil LeBron sold his soul to so that he gets the absolute minimum in media criticism, but I can't wait until the **** hits the fan.

    Savory-

You are right they are about the biz. However, they are about "creating" that biz. My point was they are building stars instead of stars building themselves. Why does Lebron make them money? Because of the way the promote him just look at James Harden. If Harden got treated like other players who gets big numbers off flopping and a million foul shots he wouldn't have all these commercial endorsements nor even a remote sniffle of MVP chances. The media is bought and paid for but it is the fans that are falling for that crap. Curry is the clear MVP of this year yet all of a sudden he has Klay on his team which is too much. Lebron didn't have too much when he had Wade and Bosh and Allen and etc etc etc? They make the narrative, they tell the fans what to like and they protect their built up money makers. Lebron is great but the sheer lack of negative towards him is remarkable. Do we forget the basic smear campaign of Kobe Bryant? In the end, just like Kobe, when Lebron is no longer the darling I think his fall from grace will be much worse than anything Kobe went through. Of course they won't do anything until they have the next guy to promote.

I'm thinking Anthony Davis is going to be the player that the media jumps on next, the PED story is going to drop in 2-3 years...

Boy does LBJ love himself some LBJ. Just saw him on Sports Center dagger the Bucks with a 3 pointer at the end and he did the breaking them over his knees gesture twice and then of course pounding his chest.

OK we are now in the playoffs and the pundits are talking about how great the Cavs are and how Lebron let them go through the struggles in order to be ready for the playoffs. Many have them as a lock for the Finals and even picking them to win it all. So the question is, is it Ring or bust for the Cavs? I know no matter what the media will spin it to make Bron look good but we aren't the media. The team was hand picked, gifted by the league and built to win in a conference were most of the playoff teams wouldn't even sniff the playoffs in the West. The Cavs have very little competition in the East while the West teams will more than likely beat the hell out of each other. What would be considered a failure for the Cavs to you guys?

On the West side I think if GSW don't make the Finals they would have failed plain and simple. Same for SAS.
