LABron James Discussion: Triple Triple Doubles

He’ll do it for the attention, but I doubt they seriously consider it. Why would LeBron subject himself to the same grief that Kevin Durant did for that move? That makes no sense. He’s trying to improve his legacy not shoot it in the foot.

 

Let's consider this: I would venture a guess and say he reads almost everything about himself; one of the criticisms is he has stayed "East" where the competition is easier, and there has been an easier road, right?

What if that crosses his mind; and being a person who cares about his legacy, wouldn't it enhance his legacy, if he teamed up with a Lakers squad that hasn't been in the PO in 5 years and can lead them to the Finals?

Is he thinking about that? Idk, but if he came to this Lakers squad, dominated and for a ring out of it; don't you start taking those Lebron/Jordan debates a little more seriously as a Lakers fan?

 

I think its pretty obvious by now, considering his relative ease to get out of the east and then getting a butt kicking in the finals most of the time lol, sans one ray allen 3pt pter to save 1 chip, he should've been 2-6 in the finals

 

I gotta think that's rolling through his mind somewhere.

 

Lebron vs Jordan talk never should have ever been discussed. I watched Jordan in his prime, on top of his game, with all the fixings. No one can compare to Jordan other than Kobe. Had Kobe came into the league at 21, was the man right at the beginning, he would have won more MVPs, more scoring titles, more individual accolades in terms of individual awards. But we will never know. Kobe and Jordan are the best players I have ever seen. Had Kobe went 7-0 in the Finals, Kobe vs Jordan talk would be more even. Jordan separated himself because he was immaculate in the biggest moments.

 

For the second game this series Lebron didn’t close the game. The best player in the game is outside hitting threes when that is not a strength of his. He doesn’t play to his strengths during the clutchest moments and I still don’t understand why.

Pre-Durant: think of the Dubs major injuries heading toward their first title. It shouldn't take long... There weren't any. And then they faced a Love/Ky-less Cavs team in the Finals for their 1st chip.

Then think about the cap spike of '16, where a cupcake joins the 73-9 team he nearly beat. I've seen one too many Kobe comparisons...just stop. Durantulame doesn't have anywhere near the same mental webbing as Kob.

These warriors get mobbed on heavy in a different era. Only dude worth mentioning is a bonafide 2way player in Klay...that's it. The rest of them dudes is lame.

Again, dubs clearly in the Lakers way. Bron hasn't done s*** to us in the past. f*** the warriors, cause the Golden State has only one team thats got legit dynasty status.

And I'm just going to get off my soapbox and put this here...





Cavs 29th ranked D didn't help (Bron's obviously guilty here too), but get this dude the right horses and the fight's alot more even.

Again... It's all about timing and luck. And the dubs time is about up.

He's taken 21 less shots than LLLLLLebron. Super efficient. Finals MVP for sure.

 

It's a team sport. You need help to win. Lebron has a coach that needed to take a vacation in the middle of a season because he got a headache from all the stress. His second best player needed to take xanex from all the anxiety he had in his tummy. A scrub named Rodney Hood wouldn't come in the game late because he thought he was too good for garbage time minutes even though he was playing like garbage. Last but not least, JR Necktattoo who's IQ might be slightly north of Forrest Gump's, offers little or nothing to any game he plays in.

Is this Lebron's fault? Yes. Players should play. GM's should GM. Also, Lebron got Lebron'd when KD went to GSW. Lebron started the buddy system team joining and karma bit him bad the last two seasons and may have cost him any chance at being the best. Regardless if it's his fault or not, the same reason why Wilt is not the unanimous number 1 of all time was because he was 2-4 in the Finals. Yes, finals record matters. Getting to the finals means nothing. Winning the finals is everything. Losing in the second round, no one remembers. Would it have been better if Lebron lost in the second round instead of the Finals, yes.

Lebron has been gifted in an era that has had some of the worst teams in the playoffs in the east. That is a fact. But even in his stacked teams of 2013 and 2014. He barely got out of 2013 with a win. In 2014, he got smoked. He smoked himself in 2011 when his team was up 2-1. He's needed just enough to get his titles other than 2012. Too many stagnant performances whether he had stacked teams or he didnt. They are equally bad and good.

Kobe and Shaq needed to join mentally one more time in the 2004 finals. They didnt, and it cost both a little more in their legacy.

2nd half of the 2008 Finals in Game 4, cost Kobe a little more there as well.

Those two series cost Kobe the greatest of all time spot. MJ would still be number 1 to many, however, if Kobe wins those two series, he is 7-0 in the finals as the man. Even if he shared being the man, he was still the man.

Kobe's stats in terms of winning sits at 4 titles in 5 years. Two 3-peats. He would likely have at least one more Finals MVP. He would have been the Laker who put the Lakers past the C Bags in all time titles, while going undefeated against the C Bags in the Finals at 2-0. Those stats are above iconic status that no player in NBA history could touched, including MJ.

You see how valuable it is when you win in the Finals?

 

Tides are definitely turning. Warriors aren’t and haven’t been the juggernaut everyone made them out to be and our boys are coming for them. But I gotta repeat what I said before, Durant was very Kobesque tonight specially that dagger, Geez.
