I absolutely love the proprioception work and the functional details. Really fun stuff.

I don't know... We saw a change in Clarkson. Jules became a beast. Ingram still looks like a twig to me. Guy must have some kind of an eating disorder plus hate the weights.

I'm not sure ya'll know how workouts work. If you expect him to look like Durant in a month, it wont happen. He's clearly working out and has been for weeks. The workouts hes doing are 100% more important than putting on arbitrary muscle. He's teaching his body how to handle contact at the rim and developing tremendous hand skills. He's teaching himself how to get low with the ball around and through defenses. The circumference of his arms is certainly secondary to the work he's doing here.

Besides, putting on muscle wouldnt happen all that quickly for a guy with his levers.

Dude is 20 years old. At 20 I was 6’3” and weighed 150 soaking wet. I got in the gym and learned how to eat and was a solid 225 when I hit 30. But that took 10 years. There is no rush. He is clearly serious and focused on improving his body. We saw a HUGE jump from year one to two. He will continue to improve.

Y'all complaining over muscle know he's gotten stronger right? Also he's not gonna be primarily guarding 611 PF/Cs lol.

Love the video and I know that trainer knows what he's doing I'm just trying to understand more for myself how those drills help improve the ball handling. All the moving the cones around and switching hands. Seems to me is more just hand I coordination. I was going to ask LFR what his thoughts are on this but can anyone explain it better?

Edit: I Googled 'proprioception work' and I have a better understanding of what he's doing now.

Sorry I didn't see your post here Battle.

Basically what he's doing is learning to control his movements. When you raise your hand, what is your other hand doing? Can it be doing something helpful? When you take a step forward, where is your back foot? Is it planted? Where and how is it planted? What direction is it facing?

On top of that, when you step, can you trust you're stepping in the right spot every time? That's muscle memory and the more he works on these different things, the better he'll be on the court dealing with repetitive defensive situations. It's very specific training, but it's wonderful for what he's going to be doing.

And for what it's worth, his shoulders do look broader. He's still putting on muscle and adding strength, but he simply will never look like Karl Malone.

Great explanation. Thank you and I too agree that his shoulders have more definition to them.

After seeing KD last night... Ingrams body already looks there imo. At the end of the day he's a wing, you didn't see Pippen getting more muscular until the later part of his career. After the first half of his career if I'm not mistaken.

He better not chuck like KD is doing. Stronger and more muscle = easier path to the hoop. Still have a lot of faith in the kid.

Where he needs more muscle is in his legs. I think the other areas will come.

He needs to continue developing his power base with legs and core.

I don’t have any problem gaining weight, so I don’t see what the problem is here

It’s like he’s not even trying
