Yes, I know some numbers show me where I can improve.

In the example given of average speed, I agree that average speed seems to be pretty irrelevant vs results.

He loafs his fair share, but it obviously doesn’t impact results as much as that might suggest

    ***because I’m fair like that***

I understand that stats that aren't in your favor can be useful.

But do you like those stats? If you do, I'd argue that you're the weirdo. :D

I’m not sure anybody likes stats that appear to be unfavorable, but we can still embrace them and their value.

Ball, George, Ingram, James and Kuzma. Can this team win it all next year?

Next year? Probably not. They could make the Western Conference Finals though. And the year after they would have a very solid shot. The problem with that lineup is who is our rim protector?

Also needs some more 3 point shooters.

Ball, Ingram, PG, Lebron, Lopez, Randle, Kuz, Hart, Frye and a vet backup Point Guard might be able to.

Yeah... Insert Randle/Lopez/<some sort of Zaza/Noel/whatever> @ C there and we are golden... as much as I hate to admit it.

Well Ball would have to come around, but the rest already are shooters.

    Ingram- 39%
    George- 40%
    LeBron- 36%
    Kuzma- 37%

That'll work. Ball just needs to be in that respectable 35% range which I think would be fine. Honestly, if you replace Kuzma in that lineup with Lopez who is a 33-34% shooter from outside, I think it's a hell of a starting lineup. It would definitely be a competitor for the WCF.

    PG: Ball, Ennis
    SG: George, Hart
SF: Ingram, [who cares as PG will ultimately be the backup SF]
    PF: Lebron, Kuzma
    C: B. Lopez, Zubac, T. Bryant

Add in a rookie guard/rookie big via #25/#47
Add in a couple obligatory aging vets signing for the minimum looking to ride the coattails to a title
Add in a couple randos (like Wear/GP2/Caruso this year) signing for the vet min as cheap depth

    And....

Probably not but hey, they'll certainly make it compelling.

IMO, to hang with Golden State you need a minimum of two 40%+ 3 point shooters. PG barely qualifies. Maybe Ingram comes back this year deadly from range. I hope so. Maybe Kuz too. They both have that potential. But right now, that team would be light on shooting.

I mean 39% is about as close as you can get. :D

I think the key to sticking with Golden State is being able to match up defensively. I don't mean one-on-one locking anybody down, because we all know no one can do that. I mean being able to switch screens and make them take tough shots. The lineup of Ball/Ingram/George/Kuzma/LeBron can do that I think. Somebody would have to emerge as the rim protector though.

How about all 4 teams lose.

Just cancel the rest of the playoffs and vacate the title. We’ll get it back next year!
