Lol there’s ONE comment about OKC, which of course makes the headline, and then Haynes goes on to be entirely pro-Lakers for paragraphs.
^This is what Magic was primarily brought in for. This is his element, and his time to shine. He needs to deliver PG at the very least. If he can't bring an LA guy who's made it clear he wants to be a Laker for over a year now, I'm not exactly confident he can bring any prominent free agents moving forward.
I never said "never", but I wouldn't exactly be confident in his closing skills with future free agents if he can't seal the deal with Paul George, who appears to be tailor-made for the Lakers to sign.
Question is.... Does Paul George have the balls to say no to Magic Johnson, a lifelong idol, mentor and friend. With his family also being there and wanting him to be a Laker. Paul George wouldn't want to disappoint so many friends, family and his own legacy???
And you know it won't be just Magic in that room. His biggest idol Kobe along with his fishing buddy Shaw will be there too. PG in P&G is the worst kept secret. There's really nothing more to discuss. Paul George will be a Laker.
Pops!! Whoa now. Looking at the time line of the crime more carefully I think @SFGOLDRUSHER put this up. You're both preverts. LVBD for giving him the idea.
Really. He disappears for weeks then pops back in with that. Whoa again. As realized above .... Looking now at the time line of the crime more carefully I think @SFGOLDRUSHER put this up. You're both preverts. LVBD for giving him the idea.
Gotta be honest, it will be great but it won't be a jump for joy situation. This s*** was done a year ago. Rules just allow it to happen July 1, 2018. Now, where I will be excited and anticipating is what Rob does after Paul commits. That's the real drama in this...
Someone ran the numbers and made me Top Poster of Month. What do you expect .... can't tank now .... errrr .... be lazy just cause the season's over like some people around here.
This 100%. I can list a dozen other positives that come with having Magic here. But his primary role, as far as I'm concerned, is being the guy in the room that makes people feel like it's the Lakers again. As long as he does that, I couldn't care less about the rest. And in this regard, Magic has my full confidence.
