How 'bout the option of the parquet floor opening up and swallowing both teams? That's the best option! No one from the east is winning the championship anyway.

I'll be rooting for that the whole time!

I think it's a win win for us actually...if C Bags beat LeBron, increases the chances of LeBron bolting for LA.

if LeBron beats the C Bags, well, the C Bags don't make the NBA finals without their two best players and we don't have to hear about how amazing their young core is the entire summer and next year...(as that is already happening and I'm fully expecting it to happen...)

Oh, and we know if LeBron makes the NBA finals...he'll get bludgeoned by the Warriors anyways so still a good chance we can secure him...especially if they get swept and beaten badly.

So I’m probably in the minority here. But I genuinely like the Cavs as a team more than any team left in the playoffs. And Lebron has legitimately impressed me with his playoff run. I’m over being insecure about threats to Kobe’s legacy. I want Lebron to win.

But I feel obligated to root against him because it would increase his chances of coming to LA ... but would it? I don’t think another championship in Cleveland changes much. I think there’s enough bad blood there between him and Gilbert. If they win, it’s still gonna be on his shoulders and his supporting cast is honestly overachieving. He’s so great that he’s gotta be confident enough to believe that he could carry a group like us to a ring too. If anything, he might feel less guilty about leaving if he brings Cleveland another title.

... damn. If myself from 5 years ago read this post, I’d throw up.

I need to take a shower now I feel so dirty. I’d rather LeBron win than say, the C Bags or Rockets, but I don’t WANT him to win. Ugh, the very thought makes the me from 5, 10, 15, years ago and the me of today all want to throw up together.

Or maybe in 5 years we’ll all be celebrating as Lebron leads us to a multiple title reign, while cementing himself as the GOAT by revitalizing the dynasty of the greatest franchise in sports history.

It's bad for the NBA if someone with less charisma than Jordan to becomes the GOAT. Also Jordan lived most of his career without modern internet so his bodies are probably easy to bury compared to LeBrons.

The question for LeBron is whether he wants the Lakers. He might leave the Cavs but he will have several options I assume. Philly is a better team than the Lakers and they are in the east, where he has a cake walk to the Finals.

I know Boston is up and coming but those conference finals and those NBA finals are usually won by the team with the best player on the court. Boston has a lot of bright young players but none of them (including Kyrie) can impose his will on the other team.

Replacing a coach that can't beat Lebron with a coach that can't beat Lebron.
