I have this feeling that lebron is gonna have his first major injury this playoffs. Not that I want it to happen but the fact he is actually playing his butt off and practically dominating. But hes had a lot of mileage on them legs and playing major minutes. Almost like when Kobe just took over right before his Achilles injury with all of his dominating performances just to keep his team winning.

I'd say he didn't bank it on purpose the way he looked at the hoop

The difference being, however, that Kobe was playing hurt. He had a sprained left ankle and bone spurs in his left foot and he was playing 40 plus to 47 minutes a night before the Achilles injury. Lebron is also logging insane minutes right now but he's not hurt and he's also 33 not 36 like Kobe was.

I think Lebron will be ok and won't get injured, but I just don't think he's going to win a championship having to carry his team this way. A better team will beat him either in the Eastern Conference Championship or the Finals.

I think Boston has the athletes, the defense, and the coaching to slow him down.

Either that, or we watch LLLLL morph into what we always thought he was capable of all along if he had the right mindset. WTH took so long? Fear of failure?

Either way, I think it’s a series I will greatly enjoy. (Which makes me feel dirty because it involves C Bags and LLLLLebron)

Nah, LeBron meant to do that. My son’s coach is having my son work on bank shots as part of expanding his repertoire and that was almost a textbook release with how soft it was off the glass.

espn's top 10 last night was all different angles, viewpoints of the game winner.

i mean i get it, it was a great shot, but they act like no one has hit a game winner before.

not lebrons fault i know, but man it gets me riled up haha

The only reason I know this is because of my son's coach who played professionally. A floater would be an open hand release no back spin. LeBron puts back spin on the release for that banker so it softly goes in.

I don’t like the guy but that was truly an amazing display of skill.

That's a textbook bank shot with the spin on the ball. No question. The shot was great, of course, but it's not a very difficult shot for LeBron. Good elevation, plenty of space created etc. Just solid shot.

Are you being serious? Who gives a f***, he made the game winner to go up 3-0 in the playoffs against the #1 seed in the East. Not like he shot it from 60ft behind his back and called glass. It was a running floater, even Kuz does that shot.

I can’t say unequivocally because I don’t know what was going on in his head. I just know what I know (admittedly not much!) and the angles my son shoots to practice the banks and where he practices hitting the shot on the glass makes LeBron’s shot seem to be a purposeful bank shot.

    Anyway, just my opinion...

haha easy bud not sure why you're coming at me so hard...unless you are in fact lebron like i asked earlier?

and look i said it was amazing and a great shot but who are you to tell me what i should care about or not? i think kobes shot again miami a while back was great but did he bank on purpose? i doubt it. it was still amazing and a sight to see. just like lebron.

but please stop telling me how to feel about lebron. i dont like him or want him on my team. is it that hard to understand?

when have i told anyone that their opinion is wrong or anything of the sort when it comes to this topic. i havent been argumentative in the least. ive simply maintained my stance.

you want lebron and thats fine. but stop getting mad when others (seeminly me) dont agree.

hes an ALL time great and his skills are top notch but to me thats only part of a player.

You don't have to be so upfront about your hate for LBJ. ;) You could take a lesson from .... say .... @sirronstuff :giggle:  in how to be more subtle about it .....

Trust me that’s not coming at you hard. I’m just astounded at these dumb arguments to minimize what LeBron is doing by a fan base that knows good basketball and has endured years of hatred on Kobe. On a very obvious level it makes no sense, which is the point of my original comment on this topic. I don’t care if you like him or not, he’s not my favorite either, but if we do get him I’m not going to be saying we will be worse off for it. You can’t say he’s great, but then minimize his last second shot. I’ve heard people do the same to Kobe when he scored 81pts and said but he was playing Toronto, so... But you say whatever makes you feel happy, we have a president that is good at that too.

    fake news ^^ ;)

seriously tho i appreciate the debate. cheers to lakers success (however it is accomplished)

and for the record i by no means think that the lakers getting lebron would be bad for the franchise or make us worse, i just dont want to have to watch him play 82+ games out of the year.

he would make us better no doubt, but id much rather improve from within if given the choice

Yo, Big Mamma Jamma just told you that her son practices floaters in response to your suggestion that a 15yr perenial superstar couldn’t possibly have intentionally tried to take that floater. That wasn’t good enough for you, so you say you will have to agree to disagree. Huh? Disagree on what? Floaters are practiced even in high school, done in schoolyards across the country. LeBron is skilled enough to plan a floater.

No politics, but the president is the poster boy for saying stuff hat flies in the face of the obvious.
