What is the possibility of George orchestrating a S&T between the OKC and the Clippers? A couple things don't sit well with me. I'm thinking about Chris Paul to HOU, Jerry West in the Clippers FO, and how speculation from NBA journalists is typically wrong. I think it warrants at least some discussion... I'd hate to get blindsided before free agency even hits. A tweet from last summer:
Eff off Scott. He said he wanted to come to the Lakers last summer. Things change. Go pound sand and a pox on you. I bet @KareemtheGreat33 can think of even worse.
If he wants to go to the clippers, by all means go. I wouldn’t want him on the Lakers team anyway if that is true.
"I've interviewed Paul George 100s of times and he never said he was a Laker fan". Also in the tweet: "I grew up a Lakers and Clippers fan."
Yeah ... not the heart of Julius Randle if that happens. Why would you for any reason run away from what the Lakers have and the coach they have to the Clippers? Fake news.
Meh, players stay friends off the court, doesn’t mean they want to play together. And yeah, if he did choose the Clippers over us, I’d say goodbye and good riddance because he’d obviously be an idiot to join a cursed franchise. I don’t think he would though, the idea seems ridiculous.
Some of you need some medication for your bi-polarness. Paul George is going to be a Laker. You can stop with the "OH, s***, he's hanging with Larry Bird and the are eating in a Boston pub, that must mean he wants to be a C bag". The dude is gonna get a max contract, Lakers need a 2, BAD. He is in his prime and the Lakers are one player away from winning in the high 40s and 50s and going to the playoffs.
Thanks OX. Needed that. I was getting ready to give a "ruh roh" to a clip and report of PG paintballing with RW like they're BFFs. Same sentiment if he chooses OKC over the Lakers as if the choice was the Clippers. Eff him and what a dumb a** .... both him and his agent.
I agree, it’s all good. It’s all smoke and mirrors really. No one in their right mind would actually “choose” the Clippers over us, and Paul seems like a pretty sane individual.
Just to clarify, the guy tweeting is a reporter for the Pacers, he mentioned this because PG didn't start talking about the Lakers until he was in trade talks. Either way, It's funny how sensitive you guys are. What if he doesn't come? "Well I never wanted PG anyway!" Just wanted to flesh out he possibility that he doesn't. We'd be fools to think that it's not in play. Frankly I would be devastated, because I my preferred plan is to just add PG and keep the kids. @OX1947 , not sure if you meant if we need 2 max players, or if we need a 2-guard. Not sure PG is a 2-guard.
persona non grata in his hometown if PG won't sign here no more welcome cheers nor preferential treatment in posh establishment
