Unfortunately for Simmons I don’t know if there’s is an experienced vet to help him learn how to handle these tight games. That’s the beauty of the Lakers franchise is that there are so many resources for a young guy to consult with for help. Just ask Randle.
Philly is a fraud. None of the teams in the East seem legit to me. I want LeBron to annihilate the C Bags if they move on. And I could care less about the Cavs either.
Wow the graphic showing C Bags 36-0 in franchise history in playoffs when up 2-0 at start of a series.
Dude was 0-3 today. 1. "We the North" saying Raptors would for sure win Game 2 2. Guaranteeing the 76ers winning tonight 3. If JJ Redick scores 20 points the 76ers will definitely win.
Dude can’t shoot, and Boston’s defense has exposed him. He’s a cocky little s***, but like LeBron had to, he’ll have to learn to shoot if he wants to win. It cost Giannis this year too. Embiid got overly confident as well, but he’s at least scored 31 and 21 in games 1 and 2 respectively. I feel like whoever loses this series is a win though, I hate both teams so it’s win-win. Either the cocky little punk 76ers get slapped down back to reality, or the C Bags lose, it’s a good day either way. And even if the C Bags win, their Cinderella run turns back into a pumpkin when they face LeBron like every year, and they lose then.
Lebron averaged 30+pts at Simmons age , he wasn't a good shooter but he was taking and could make some J's , Simmons is afraid to take one
I wasn’t really going off age, I was going off rookie to rookie, and only because they have very similar playing styles. LeBron couldn’t really shoot when he came in, but yes he did correct that pretty quickly, which again, is what Simmons will have to do to win anything of note.
This gets a little lost in the Lonzo hate, but Simmons is even worse to me. He's too scared to even shoot them at all. Lonzo might be trigger happy, but he has shown an ability to get hot from outside from time to time. Here's Ben's shots by distance: At rim: 373/508 (73.4%) 3 to 10 feet: 141/344 (41%) 10 to 16 feet: 57/182 (31.3%) 16 feet to 3PT: 12/30 (40%) 3PT: 0/12 (0%) Here's his 3 pointers from the regular season: In 33 games in college Simmons took just three 3s there as well. The kid really needs to learn how to shoot in order to take the next step forward. Otherwise, the Playoffs are going to look just like this for a long time. LeBron as a rookie shot just 29% from deep, but he took 207 shots from that distance. He wasn't afraid to shoot, he just wasn't very good at it. Simmons is terrified of shooting the ball. If it wasn't for Embiid being so versatile, teams would just play Simmons off and let him force jumpers. It'll happen next season.
I still am shocked by their season (Philly) They have definitely overachieved. They are good, but not 50 win good. Embid is the star of this team imo, not Simmons. I agree, all in all it just seems like another Cavs EC Championship.
And they’re really having a debate about rookie of the year. Even before his 1 point masterful performance last night, I always had Mitchell at the top of the list.
I don't like Simmons, but the award is his, easily. He's special. Wish we had him, broken shot and all.
