I think its good that Nash is sitting out tonight. Like I mentioned in one of the threads where we were talking about Ronnie Price, he was going to get some playing time tonight so why not rest Nash.

    Da hell?

Why would sit him altogether? You can play him 10 minutes.

Byron said that when playing different guys in the pre-season he doesn't just want to give guys a few minutes because you can't really evaluate them then. Which is why it makes since if he wants to see a good amount of Ronnie Price tonight to rest Nash completely.

Well, he (or anyone else in the world) doesn't need to evaluate Steve freaking Nash. He does, however, need to evaluate other players playing with Steve F Nash. Which he won't be able to do. For example Wes.

    I am suspicious.

    @ZenMaster

I like your new signature. Good idea to post when you joined LB since there isn't anything that says so.

I wasn't entirely sure it is needed. No inherent seniority, so to speak. I did, however, wanted to leave CL as part of my forum "history" so it kinda played well together.

Duh! Yeah. Crap..... Maybe he didn't want Kobe so early in his comeback hurting himself chasing Thompson and Curry sometimes. Nash makes sense. I'd like to see Kobe tonight for bit at least. Selfishly. Well good if true to know Byron is "running the ship".

Yea, I've always liked Nash, despite his extremely disappointing stint with us so far. Like Kobe, Nash is one of the toughest players in the NBA. He has played/pushed when he was hurt/injured. "Oh, a broken nose? Let me just pop it back in myself and continue to play." I really hope he and Kobe can go out with a bang.

The joined date changes into absolute dates once it's more than 6 days old. Before that though, it's a relative timestamp. The staff is also talking about updating the joined dates and post counts to reflect CL's joined date/post count.

I'm fine with him sitting. It's pre-season. There's no injury report, so no reason to be concerned. Might as well preserve him as long as possible.

Besides, Ronnie apparently has been working his butt of in practice. He deserves a chance to get in there and get some work.

exactly. And what better time to check out his defense against this high potent Warriors offense. I hope he's on Curry at some point contact just so I can see him strap. No one is going to contain Curry but I want to see Ronnie make him work.

Right. Let's work. I love the idea of putting a guy in the fire sometimes. Maybe not a rookie, but a guy who's trying to make the team? Sure.

Agreed. Let's see how he does. We know Nash played well already.

Steve asked out of the third quarter because according to him, 'he wasn't feeling right.' Start Lin, Sign Price.

This doesn't sound like "flu bug" or a cold to me. This sounds like the nerves again.

    LOL.

Dammit Steve. Should have just retired last January (or when was it that we got him off books?).

My gut feeling is telling me Nash will retire sooner rather than later and before the NBA regular season is over with. I'll be shocked if he lasts 30 games.

He should have retired last year. I'd be surprised if he can last 20 games.

And there go the nerves. Sorry Steve, nerve damage doesn't just go away with time. It's not a bruise.
