Jacka**. He backtracked so much in that clip. Said Lonzo has been playing great since he returned from injury, yet last week hated on him for a game with great stats across the board. Can’t take 5 or 6 shots some games because you’re the #2 pick? Yeah, you can when your team keeps winning and you have games where 9 guys score in double figures. Dude wants Lonzo to be a scoring PG, and he’s simply not that.
I would actually enjoy hearing him say that stupid **** to LaVar in the same room and be forced to not scream over one another but SAS have listen to LaVar come back at him in his own intolerable (to me) way.
Way too unagressive for my liking tonight. Obviously this season he’s been great at giving the ball up early and facilitating good flow in the offense even when it doesn’t result in assists, but today there were stretches where he’d bring the ball up and quickly defer to someone like KCP or Isaiah in positions that enabled their poor decision making. Gotta love the three point shooting though
He started out aggressive, but got in early foul trouble and had to adjust after that. He had some really tough calls go against him and dealing with that sort of adversity is something he's going to have to learn from.
Didn’t get a chance to watch last night’s game, but was at the game on Saturday night here in San Antonio. Was very impressed with Lonzo’s aggressiveness and clutchness down the stretch. That was awesome to see and very Kobe esque.
Stephen A just isn’t very knowledgeable when it comes to the game of basketball. Simply put. He thinks he knows a lot more than he actually does.
Well he did have Lillard inside his own uniform for much of the night. Dude was all over him whenever he was on him. That is tough. I think Zo's handle is pretty decent already but not where it needs to be to combat that kind of D.
The offense should always flow through Zo's hands first. Why KCP even touches the ball to begin with...idk.
The play where Pope iced our loss, Ball was calling for it and was waved off. If Pope's name were Paul George or LeBron James, I would have been somewhat okay with that move. But he's Coldwell-Pope. And I was not okay with it.
I think Luke was trying to run a play where Lonzo was off ball, with Ingram initiating the offense, where I can see those guys actually executing. But it was KCP. And this wasn't the first time he's done this either...ugh. IT kinda has a similar mentality of not executing the offense, which shows with some of his shot selection. While he hits some pretty big shots, I'd rather IT run the offense as planned.
