He's acclimating. You know, starting and practicing Hollywood life. And he's a natural in front of the limelight isn't he? I'm sticking with what Magic Johnson said (not in toto). "We wouldn't have done it(Larry & JC trade) if we don't believe we can follow through". Because if they can't pull it off with a homie who 'has' the desire to play for us, there's no way any of the big 2019 FAs are coming. So I guess we'll be back to just hoping Kyle, Josh, Brandon and Lonzo get better. If our reasonable Plan B is to re-sign JR, FO's 1st year is a solid D. If not for their excellent picks, it would be an easy F. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
Yeah which is great considering ALL STARS have converged tonight. PG13 can dangerously turn from most wanted to persona non grata in LA real quick. Just one word from him. Careful Paul George. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
lol from getting that special special treatment reserved for Hollywood stars to cold shoulder the second he rejects the Magic Johnson max offer. Oh PG, what would it be?
I was really disappointed in our supposedly pro Paul George crowd last night, and the fans in the Staples center we're too busy on their phones taking selfies than rooting and cheering on what was an entertaining competitive game. The noise level was s***ty to say the least
I'm sure the crowd was a mix bag of fans and probably a ton of celebrities. But reading Tania's tweet and the video of the media session shows PG got more love than others.
Paul George will be the giant domino that gets the Lakers back to title contention. The next move is the unknown move.....Where the Lakers will know of they have a 10 year run of competing or a 3 year window.
I think so too unfortanately. I could see OKC telling Melo to opt out so he could resign with a more cap friendly deal that would allow the 3 to stay together. OKC would still have a large tax bill but it would help by melo opting out for a more friendly contract. I believe Melo would do that because he would want to stay on a competitive team at this point of his career instead of making $25+ million a year on a PG less Thunder team.
You all are going to get sea sick with analyzing any and everything PG related to guess if he will be a Laker or not. Desperate times in Lakerland.
I think you underestimate Melo’s love for money, how he still views himself as a player, and how much he cares about winning. This is a guy that could have gone to like Chicago not too long ago and been on a really good team, but he chose to go back to NY for the full 5 year max deal. NY sucked, they were never going anywhere, never will with Dolan, and Melo knew that, but money wins. I will be shocked if Melo doesn’t opt into his deal.
When he says "i don't want to bounce around from team to team" And says he wants to stay for a long time wherever he signs, it would only make sense to sign with the Lakers. Hometown kid retiring a laker? Playing for years to come with a young core? and cap space? Seeing how fans adore players who come here and give it there all? Or retire in OKC and watch melo age next year and westbrook age over the next couple years. Westbrook goes hard every game. And his game is built on speed. How long can he keep this up? 2-3 years max? Not saying he will be terrible in 2 years, but I think last year and this year are his peak years.
Agreed completely. Carmelo has exactly zero percent chance at seeing this type of money again. Why opt out? If Oklahoma is bringing Paul George back, they're going to have to pay the big bill and they're going to have to sell off some assets as well. It's not impossible as long as the owner is willing, but it's going to be costly.
