He's a consultant not the GM or President. Maybe Clips just asked him to get them to the point where they can get Lebron and they'll handle the rest.

I bet that has a higher price out West. I wonder what their current CLE record would be if they would be in the West. Worst i bet.

Maybe. Without a superstar, they'll have to move to Seattle :D
I hope Doc stays as long as possible, dragging them down.

Yes. But it would not be enough.

3 former MVP's on the same team? That's be crazy.

But financially it's possible, and add a DPOY in Draymond, and that's a pretty stout starting lineup.

And the backlash would be absurd.

    bill simmons is still around?

as for lebron's statement, i think it's just fact: if gs had a max slot, he'd listen. of course he would. this is the guy who joined two of the three of his draft class rivals to form a superteam and beat up on everyone. it's the same guy who's going to join paul and harden in houston next year. if he could join durant/curry/green/thompson, he'd definitely do that!

but they're basically at the cap with those 4, and i think some lux tax issues might prevent a lebron trade (like the one he'll use to get to houston).

yeah, for the sign and trade. It's crazy that it could work, but those guys have to be in serious repeater tax territory as well right?

Bron could play managed minutes for the next few years, stay healthy, win rings, add to his legacy as he racks up more all time records. I've heard of worse ideas.

But I still don't want him here lol

Yeah it's a lot easier to move Iguodala and Klay Thompson than it is Eric Gordon and Ryan Anderson.
