Are you arguing now just to argue? What part of "no 28, 30, 42....we still had Lou" is read as otherwise? My only faux pas was mixing up the dirtbag team our top 3 protected pick was going to...I said Boston, but it was actually Philly. Different animal, same douche. Still my original post is without error when it comes to our 1st round picks. At the time, we had none.
Are we still litigating whether we should have kept DLo? I was a huge fan of drafting him. (I now wish we had taken Zinger) I still believe in his immense talent potential. But I’m 100% convinced that moving him was essential to begin the needed culture transformation on this team. Dude was / is / probably will remain an immature knucklehead.
You misread it as “No. 28, 30, 42.” Vas was saying “No 28, 30, 42,” as in we didn’t have any of those, and we still had Lou
I already told you. If you don't want to see it and you want to be this disagreeable, I hope your day gets better. Life is too short to deal with whatever tantrum is happening here. Have a good day.
so be it....but the reasoning for the trade was to get cap n use it, not Kuzma n if it doe not result in a max player its a failed traded, not 100% fail luckily thx to Kuzma
Makes no sense, we've won 7 of 9, still with the bitterness, it's fine that you think no one in our team is better than Tatum, but you got to move on that he s*** the bed disproving your point
i dont know what this has to do with my liking of tatum....my pt in ALL of this was the trade main purpose was to free cap for a max space, i dont give a s*** about dlo, i didnt like him much either with his non chalant a**, all im saying is if a max fa isnt signed the trade didnt accomplish the original goal, kuzma was a site note to that trade until he showed otherwise.
No it wouldn't. He's 100% wrong acting like Kuzma wasn't a part of the trade plans in acquiring that pick as well. Like they just stumbled into him and got lucky.
so youre saying at time of the trade mgmt knew (1 month or so prior to draft) and expected to draft kuzma exactly at 27th?
Yes. I believe that's exactly what the Lakers wanted to do with the 27th pick. I'd go as far as saying that Kuzma was given a wink-wink guarantee that the Lakers would take him at 27th given his confidence level in the draft and the way the Lakers raved about him before and after the draft.
prior to even working him out? n i know they gave him some hints at 27th after workouts, i thought at time of the trade we hadnt worked out anyone yet?
It's been reported many times they've been watching him for a long time. And Bertka additionally raving to the FO about him. Probably were hoping against hope that he would even be there at 27. They were elated in the war room when he got passed at 26. Also reported.
And as long as you continue to say this you'll be told you're wrong on your Kuzma take. It's right there in plain sight from all the reporting that has happened since.
im not discrediting mgmt for kuzma pick, they deserve props for it....i dont agree with your assesement that he was part of the plan at the time of the trade. Yes they had him in mind once the pick was obtained......Magic said right after the trade, that it was to get cap space to sign who they wanted, kuz is a positive from it im just saying he wasnt the main goal of the trade
Maybe not main benefit no. But getting him with that pick was a great success, as well, that went perfect for them and they were elated. They didn't just luck into that pick either. And he wasn't just an afterthought which is pretty much what you have been saying. You can back away from that .... it's OK.
yes i said they deserve credit for doing their homework, i am only holding mgmt to their words of their original purpose of the trade......get us a max, if NOT its not a complete failure but they didnt accomplish what i n most others want/expect
