Yes. The biggest problem this time is that this team is ascending. If they get rid of Randle and Clarkson, they will not only not progress but regress. Getting rid of Russell, Randle and Clarkson renders 2 years of "rebuilding" useless. I might be more inclined to just keep them and add to the current core than get rid of them and end up without a star. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
You need to stay the course. This will not be decided in january. Who the hell know what happens in April May. Just like a few weeks back we thought the Cavs roll on easily to the NBA Finals - now the situation is completely different. Wait for tough Minnesota-OKC Series with Westbrook going for his 10-32 night in a deciding game. PG won't give a damn about what he said in February ... Just let it play out. If worst comes to worst resign our guys, get shooters, an upgrade at center and we keep improving -> worst case scenario. Same for Boogie. Imagine them getting swept or something in the first round. He will be looking at all options. Keep the hope up guys!
It's a silly thought but I can see that really happening. Hope WB doesn't grow some brain cells for shot selections. Although I don't think they'll be facing Minnesota in any playoff series. I really do see them making a run for that 3rd seed and ending up with it. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
Hahahaha If the FO has shown anything, they'll go the risk/reward route. We had to tank last year to have a chance at a top 3 pick. We further executed that plan by trading away Lou. What were the results? You got the transcendent equivalent of a Jobs/Gates in "F" rated sneakers. You got the #SOD. It appears that the reward was worth the risk. Now taking that into the summer of 2018, I'm thinking the FO believes there's a bit of magic left in their inaugural year. You have to think if the opportunity presented itself, they would take the risk again. Hope they go 2 for 2.
Can't acquire what you already have so Deng's off the list. But sure, we can make a run for Mozgov. We can use Kuzma this time if a trade is necessary. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
See DJ's post directly above whatever George is saying here. Don't really care. Sure not assuming it's a done deal he's staying in OKC though regardless of what he says now. ^^^
I've heard sweeter and way more reassuring words from PG back when he's being asked about leaving the Pacers. Ask Kevin Pritchard, he was so convinced he then called it a "gut-punch". Sample. "I am a Pacer and I want to be the greatest Pacer ever." How dare him say positive words after they backed him up of being snubbed for the All Star. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
yeah this is most likely what'll happen this offseason after we strike out on PG and lebron some of you guys put way too much emphasis on this "hometown" BS. guys don't really care that much about playing in their hometowns
Another aspect of this being a disaster is we gave away Russell to get rid of Mozgov. If we can't sign anybody, this move looks dumb too in hindsight. Now imagine...Russell is gone. Randle is gone. Clarkson is gone. And non of the stars chooses to come here. If you don't think this will backlash, I have a bridge for sale.
