LeBron reportedly upset the Cavs didn't get George when they could.

First of all, join the club.

    Second of all, same.

Third of all, boy have I got plans for this summer...

Shannon Sharpe goes off on the Cavs.
    Love it.

Geez, how much help can one player ask for. Why didn’t he just ask them to trade for Durant and Curry. I am not in favor or LeBron James in a Lakers jersey if he comes here and demands who we trade for right away and then is disgruntled if we don’t. We get 2 maybe good years out of 4 with him and then we’re screwed like the Cavs will be and have to rebuild all over again. Unless he comes here and brings PG WITH him guaranteed, I want no part of his drama. I don’t want to be seeing Zo, and Kuz, and Ingram, and Hart start to be shipped out to bring in players LeBron wants. Cavs are stuck with awful contracts like Tristan Thompson because they do whatever LeBron wants. LA cannot be willing to do that and sell our souls for LeBron.

So .... either the Greatest of All Times IS finally dropping off with his game, at least on the defensive end .... or ..... he's gotten like Shaq did at the "end" of his Lakers run and now cruises during the season and relies on "flipping the switch" when it's playoff time. Problem with that is he knows he's on the clock in his final seasons trying to win 1 or 2 more Larry Obriens and will show it for all to see on national television with his disapproving glares and words at teammates on the court and carrying the negativity and deuchery over to the locker room with that chemistry busting attitude. Soon as it looks like a championship not happening that first or 2nd season. Pointing the finger at others while he is not carrying his own weight or is in flip switching mode and expecting more from others.

PG's recent comments suggest he's re-signing with the thunder. R. Westbrook had "his back" because he spoke up about PG not making the all star team.
If PG is that much of a follower and wants to be a 2nd option than he wasnt' meant to lead this laker team anyway. Peace out

I’m on the mostly don’t want wagon. If he came for a 2 year deal I’d be more ok. 4+ years I’d have legit concerns. He is not superhuman, he is going to break down eventually. I’m not even going to hate on him and knock his deficiencies at this moment. He’s been to 7 Finals in a row, any player that had done that as THE star of the team is going to have that catch up to them, it HAS to unless he’s taking some crazy “supplements” we are unaware of. He is not my top choice though, that’s George, then Cousins even though I don’t even like the guy, and then maybe even Leonard in 2019. If LeBron came on a 1+1 deal I’d be good with it because we’d have the one year to see how it worked out, how much better he’d make the team, and I assume we wouldn’t be trading away all our youth to appease him, but instead seeing how he works NEXT to them.

He's a very good player (great to start our rebuild with) but he's not the no.1 guy on a championship caliber team.

    Won't happen. :D

There's no better way to invest our money if we want to be competitive than LeBron James. He'll be the kind of mentor on the court that our players need and he'll also legitimize us to other FAs (namely George who is starting to distance himself).

And yes he'll be a total jerk and he'll be dramatic and he'll make things about himself a lot of times, but oh well. I want to be competitive and this is a better bet than any other bet we could make.

How about off the court? Or when he rans Puke out of town (not that I would complain, but still...)? How about his me-first attitude? This doesn't bother you, as far as young adults are concerned?

To me, that's really strange. I'd rather have a professional role player, like Jarret Jack or Battier to be a mentor (of course, one is half-dead and the other is retired).
