Now that :This: is f****** awesome! Tons of respect for Carlisle doing that. It's a really tough place for the FO. They'd probably like to kick this guy's a** right now but it's really kind of complicated.

Well no matter if Luke is trash these days or not. That some dad of a rookie is speaking so much BS ... it's time for the Lakers to step in, for Lonzo to really distance himself or this is not going well. Let's say Luke is fired - any coach of relevance interested in dealing with this sh*t? And as a free agent would you really want to play here with all this kindergarden stuff? I guess no ...

Is there anything Jim Carrey can’t do? I really respect and admire Carlisle. He’s 100% correct here, ESPN is seeking out Lavar, they want his controversy, they want his drama, it’s shameful.

They tried to step in by telling LaVar to tone it down and criticize privately. Well...nothing's changed.

I feel bad for Lonzo, he's been put in a really tough place between defending his coach or his dad. His teammates might also think he tells his dad about private locker room stuff and his dad then leaks it out into the media (albeit, LaVar states that this is his opinion from the outside and he hasn't recently talked to Lonzo in that ESPN interview video).

Lonzo needs to take the blinders off and start determining how he wants his own PR to play out going forward in HIS professional career and businesses. Sorry but this is bordering on cult like with the father having free reign over all the decisions of his young adult children, one of them being his main meal ticket at the present time. I can't just give Lonzo a pass intellectually on this because it's his dad who got him here. Same dad who just ripped Melo's HS years from him and college scholarships from both of them all for HIS ego and vision.

Good. The pompous a-hole. I'll say it again Lonzo's his meal ticket. He keeps pissing off most of the rest of the public it's not a good thing for the brand outside of Lonzo. The young kids haven't done squat yet.

Who cares about credentials, it’s not like Lavar can’t get any messaging out that he wants, on video at that. Too bad for Lonzo that his dad doesn’t let him control his own career.

And who would have been your pick at 2?

I think a number of us had that concern.

I would not not pick Lonzo in the draft because of Lavar.

i wanted to trade down, but when i heard sac (wisely) turned down 2 for 5/10, i was ok with taking ball.

his dad's still a complete buffoon, though. and yes, it IS a problem.

Zo is a game changer, Lavar is just an obsessed father who is blunt and unfiltered. It's ESPNs fault for covering him constantly. I wonder if they follow him when he takes a s*** too. ESPN is officially TMZ

There was just no way Lavar was going to keep quiet about the team.
