http://www.forbes.com/sites/markhei...red-anyone-on-their-team-for-more-no-1-picks/ You've got to be kidding me. Can we dissolve them from the league yet?
So what's that f***ing plan again? Who are you building around now? You've let go of your ROY, your #1 pick from last year is already available, so who is your cornerstone? Is it Noel? Is it this upcoming draft pick? Is it Canaan or Hollis Thompson? F*** this franchise. If anyone deserves to get dropped from the Top 5, it's them. The NBA should be embarrassed by this team. HInkie needs to go back to playing 2K in his basement with his mom.
i would be firmly behind dropping them 5 spots in the draft. i'm a bit surprised the other owners haven't put more pressure on silver to punish them. wait...no i'm not. they're watching this to see how long and how badly they can screw their fanbase before they feel it in their bottom line. sad. glad they banded together to eradicate the lakers, though!
They attempted to reform the lottery and that didn't happen. They're going to keep tanking for high lottery picks until Silver changes the system. Funny enough, one of the people who were most adamant about keeping the lottery system in place was Sam Presti. That's a fail safe just in case Durant and Westbrook leave him high and dry during FA...
Lmfao at the 76ers. They are literally pissing everybody off. Thomas Robinson had a deal in place to sign with the Nets and he was really excited to go there. Then, the 76ers decided to wait till the last minute to pick him off the waivers...thereby pissing off both the Nets and Thomas Robinson. Also, since this gets them above the salary floor limit, their players no longer get that salary bonus. In addition to this...
Problem is Silver won't run control over this area. He virtually admitted in his ESPN interview that he knows that Philly management is tanking the team in a read-between-the-lines fashion. He said this when asked if he really believed NOBODY on Philly is orchestrating a tank: Hello? Silver is maintaining a league environment for this to be ok: An old rule in finance (the field I am in) is if you want to cover up anything, make the area messy, vague and ambiguous which is what Adam is doing here to the hilt.
It would be funny if all the other teams in the league worked together and let Philly beat them and win as many games as it takes for them to have the smallest chance at a top 5 pick.
I hope they draft a player with Len Bias' drug habits, Greg Oden's knees, Dwight Howards heart, Kwame Brown's hands, Charles Barkley's golf swing and Delonte West's respect for other people's families with their number one pick, just when the next Michael Jordan level player comes into the league (whom I hope we draft or trade for of course). That would be the coolest crispest glass of schadenfreude ever.
waiting to hear the news that an nba owner has privately told family members that he plans to move the franchise to Seattle, then waive all players that are vulnerable and sign players to spite other teams and change the team name to the C-Blockers. cant be long, no?
