Does anyone think this has a correlation to the trend of "low top" shoes now? Kobe kinda started the movement with a generation of his shoe like 6-7 years ago, but since has gone back to the high tops in his line. I'm wondering that these guys aren't getting the necessary support they need.
No the shoes aren't going to make that huge a difference honestly. These Achilles tears are from an overemphasis on athleticism over footwork. Kobe's was due most likely to stress and overworking the joint. A high top shoe will theoretically help keep you from twisting your ankle from side-to-side. I suppose there could be some help for your Achilles because a high top shoe will generally discourage too much dorsal flexion but it's minimal honestly.
DRose out with a meniscus tear in his right knee. The sea is starting to part for another Lebron led love fest to the NBA Finals.
Geeze Rose unfortunately has turned out to be a bust for Chicago. He's apparently a great dude too. I really feel bad for the guy. Such a talent and he just can't stay healthy. A lot of people were criticizing him for taking so long to come back and I'm guilty too. Who can blame him for just wanting to be careful. It's got to take such a psychological toll on a guy to keep getting injured like that. Sure hope he can overcome this. I wanna see the dude healthy and confident in the playoffs sometime.
Sucks, everything went down hill after that MVP season. I hope he has the mindset to overcome the injury and can come back and stay healthy. In other news, another easy ride for Lebron to the finals. Dude would probably get eating alive if he was on a Western team.
Jimmy Butler out 3-6 weeks with a sprained elbow. Doesn't need surgery though but man what an unfortunate blow to the Bulls.
Yikes. I don't know where the Bulls are going to generate offense from. No one is healthy on that damn team. They're going to start to slip in the standings too. Here's their next 10 (back to backs are underlined): WAS OKC IND SA MEM PHI CHA OKC IND TOR
The Bulls need to do two things: get rid of Thibs and hire some type of shaman. I think Thibs is a brilliant coach, but the evidence is right there that he overplays his good players. Too many minutes for his stars.
LeBron I'd like you to meet Cakewalk to the Finals. Cakewalk to the Finals, LeBron. Oh you've met before? You're good friends? I see, how funny. Please excuse my lame joke, it's how I cope. Not that the Bulls were a title team with Butler, l but this is ridiculous. Poor Pau, thought he had escaped the Lakers injury curse.
