It didn't seem that bad, but he went 5/14 from the field and 2/8 from deep so he was a solid 3/6 from inside the arch. I'll take it. He also took 7 free throws, tying his career high so we know he was aggressive. Incidentally his splits for the month of December are markedly improved from October and November in terms of efficiency. No one ever replies but I'll just keep plugging away with the question, "Isn't Lonzo one of the fastest players in the league now (already) in the open court with the ball in his hands?"
Yeah it wasn't as bad as sometimes, but those missed threes really bothered me. He's continuing that red hot 25% from out there. If it's not falling I want him to do something else instead of settling. I liked it recently when he was shooting less from three and finding other ways to score.
I didn't think any of his shots were bad and I remember him getting tapped on at least one of those threes. I'm less worried about which shots he's taking as I am about what kind of shots. Lately he's done less passing off when he has a wide open shot. As long as he's in rhythm, I'm happy. Early in the year he was jacking up shots. Then he got nervous and stopped taking any shots no matter how open he was. Now he's finding his footing and I'm encouraged by that.
The problem with Lonzo's three's is when they miss they miss by over a foot. It's like he has as good of a chance at airballing as he does swishing it.
He's looking better and better each game and he's playing well against the elite teams. He needs to do this against ALL teams though and not just show up against the best of the best. I'm definitely encouraged by his play as of late. Would be nice to get a road W in GS after they escaped from LA twice in OT...
talking about his acne or his game?? j/k. He is really starting to play well and I love how much better defensively he is than I thought he would be at. He's got quick hands and such a great feel for the game in how he gets his blocks defensively.

I've noticed that the media haters have been a lot quieter with their constant roasting of Lonzo lately.. Anyone that can't see his overall Basketball IQ & effectiveness, either isn't watching the games or is completely biased.
Hell definitely finish the season averaging 10. No way he doesnt improve after 30 games. Hes just getting going, not even if you want to say that firmly
that was fantastic individual defense. he also had a great block on a gordon drive where he went vertical and just walled him off. his d is much better than i expected. he gets killed on screens (skinny) and has trouble against the first step, but he recovers well on-ball, gets his hands on everything without fouling, and his hoop iq translates to the defensive end. the shooting is obviously still problematic, as are his difficulties handling the ball against pressure (something that concerned me pre-draft). but i'd say that overall, he's been pretty impactful for a rookie.
oh it has, but he was billed as a very good shooter. he's improved to "way below average" at this point.
