am i the only one not that impressed with tatum. he seems good but not great, and already fairly developed. i loved smith pre-draft and couldn't believe he slipped to 9 (and wasn't in the discussion at 2, honestly). but still, he's not impacting wins and losses, either. the only rookie really doing that is simmons, who is already physically a man. and this is always the case with young players: the more physically developed guys have greater impact earlier. that's the hope you cling to with ingram and ball (and maybe even kuzma, who could probably get a good bit stronger, too). physical and chronological age aren't always the same in sports.
a lot of people keep forgetting that Simmons is a year older than Ingram and a year and 1/2 older than Lonzo. That's a big deal for 19-20 year old kids coming into the league that need to add to their frame. Simmons was physically a man when he was drafted, but that year or so will make a huge difference for Lonzo and Ingram.
4th time this year now... almost had it. I was at the game and everything in the crowd exploded with excitement. It's going to happen
Not a fluke either, he's done that kind of bank hook shot multiple times already. Can't recall if he had one with the left as well, but there were several rights.
Glad to see us finally get a player that aspires to be great and is not too proud or full of themselves in wanting to do it their way ..... to seek out Kobe and pick his brain and I'm sure learn much in the way of actual footwork, counter moves to go along with his moves and all the other things that Kobe did to give himself an edge.
Good game. First of 30 point game of career, more to come. Pretty much the only bright spot in today’s game. Give this kid a year he’ll be one of the reliable go to scorers we’ll have (Hoping for a PG).
